Wasn't on the HUB for 2 days. Reason .... My VW Golf was stolen on Sunday at the FAST ONE All our house keys, remotes, 10k of cyclings stuff, wallet, championchips , about 15 CD's, track suits and Nike tekkies ( could maybe leave out someting ) freakin gone ! Last night I heard that there was a least 10 VW's stolen on Sunday. I paid the guard R 20 to look after the car. Ja wel ... Welcome to Africa !

I made the effort to read through all the pages and once again one/ or two guys in a team has made a lot of damage that might take a few months to heal. I have some good friends in TCS and it is sorry to hear about this after the cheating thread from a few months ago. Hope you guys can stand strong and get through this quickly.

This brings tears to my eyes straatvark ! This was my first bicycle I got way back in 1990 at Bouwer Broers in Pta. My colour scheme was a bit different with all the "shocking" colours of the rainbow on it, like pink, yellow, lime green etc. What were we thinking back then with the shocking yellow, green and other colours ?

Well done intern You guys did gr8 ! How did the other club teams do ? I know we got a second with the ladies ...

The first and last "Service Point" was very well orginized. The one outside Montegu was a bit of a mess and could maybe have been at another spot. But we all felt very save on the road and the service of the road was also excelent ! I agree with intern, most cyclists are afraid of 150km + races, but if the orginization is good and the route is save we might get more people to do such races. Congrats to everyone that finished

Hi Ronelle. I'm the biggest idiot at the race with a pair of 606's Our team got ZIPPS from a friend of ours that own a shop in Kyalami and I thought the 606's will do the trick I own a set of 404's that I use between the single bike and te tandem but for some reason I wanted the 606's. Stupid mistake, the wind was a "little" against me Could you please put the pictures of the red and black and white and black Specialised bikes on, please. That is me and the wife Savanha. Still trying to get her to chat a bit more on the hub. Thank you very much

It was one of the toughest races I have ever done. The Jock is really tough but this bugger is never-ending. None of us have ever done it, we did it in the mixed teams with 5 men and 5 woman and it didn't go as planned, but we all finished at around 7H30. Long day in the saddle But great organization More Vaalies must try it !!!
