I dont understand this whole protein shake business, so please excuse me. Is the principle, as I understand, that additional protein assists in the recovery process? Why do these protein shakes then cost so much as opposed to the below which costs between R44 to R160. I understand it tastes ***, but that cant be the reason other brands charge so much more? Sorry to hear mate.... Been there - except mine was only a broken collar bone. All i can advise is have patience. Perhaps while the leg heals you can focus on upper body work and try keep core strong which will help a lot. If you selling Transbaviaans entry let me know Best of luck

As I said earlier on in the post - I enjoyed the race. Cant change the fact I am disappointed. Done back to back Tri Rocks and both short on distances....

So not sure how to conclude on this race.... Organisation leading up to the event left a lot the imagination. Last minute route issues... Have my doubts that we know the real story Then today... First off the cradle is an amazing place to hold an event like this and Heia Safari is an epic venue. It has all the ingredients to be a massive event. In terms if execution I don't think the guys did better than 5/10. Look they did a lot right, but given that they have done two of these in Durban some things were very disappointing: First off HOW HARD IS IT TO GET THE DISTANCES RIGHT. I entered a 113km event but yet every leg of the race was short. Completely unacceptable. Secondly, road closure? Really? Almost got taken out by cars on MuLTIPLE times. Also no one had a clue on the road and cyclists were everywhere - almost had head ons with guys in the race as well as other random cyclists. The second lap was much better from a direction perspective. Anyway - like I said. I had a blast and maybe that's all that counts... Hope I can walk tomorrow

Thanks for the info. So the Friday before the event the "residents" don't want road closure? Sounds strange to me. It's severely frustrating because there always seems to be an issue with these guys. I'm not doubting two 45 laps can't work but doesn't change disappointment. Also with this bunch having cyclists amongst runners I want to see how that is handled....

Thinking about this more... this would mean that cycling and running would be on the same road? Cyclists among runners? Surely SURELY NOT
