Heard an interview with the head of the National Roads authority last night on this matter. While the law states if you are 40 k's over the limit you must be arrested, however because this twit apologised and admitted his fault it is left to the Magistrate to decide what your fine and/or "community service" allocation will be, and because he is an MEC his job is seen as a community service so they are not in a position to impose any further penalties. Did anyone say "party graft"? Just you or I do it and lets see what happens.

Probably worded that all wrong. The wheel isnt trashed but I am not able to get it trued as a result of the spoke problem.

I took a car induced lie down the other day which resulted in my front wheel getting a bit of a wobble. Unfortunately it seems that some of the spokes have melded with the nipples and I am not able to either loosen or tighten them. How do I get them loose again?

Willy The plate is probably to small to set off the detectors, unless its a hand held. I used to have about 2k's of metal in my legs, now that set the things off. My wife would walk on as if she didnt know me. Funnily enough I flew more then than before or since they tool it out. You body will, after a while, start making it uncomfortable and reject the stuff. Try to always keep it warm.

I didnt want to hijack the thread about the manual timing at Walkerville but also had a dissapointment with the Knysna timing. Decided to ride the shorter route with a friend after entering the long route. Paid my "penalty fee" of R30.00 to change but no results available. Managed to get hold of the organisers to complain only to be told, that when you downgrade they remove you from the schedule so you dont even get an official finish much less a finishing time. Also got reminded that they arent responsible for the timing and that I should follow it up with some other organisation.

Don't see why. I have been riding with mine for a while now and no complaints at all. Not able to find any bibs lately, they seem to not be importing them any longer. Wear them, toss in machine, hang to dry and good to go. Did the same with a pair of Cape Storm and don't have them anymore.
