  1. Just passed an accident in Milnerton on Otto du Plessis Cyclist lying in the road covered by a blanket. Not very happy right now.
  2. Home' date=' I wish. I have a weird inkling Killarney is going to be painful tonight.[/quote'] Well you came past me last night at a screaming speed. I was in a car Tonight should be more of the same. Good luck at the track.
  3. Well speak to Captain Biff. He had cortizone injections (in full vpublic iew) to help with the pain. In cycling if you are caught with the stuff you are banned for life. But I suppose his doping was "for a greater cause".
  4. Agree. I ordered the ankle model. Felt a bit tight and to my embaressment I went off like a packet of crackers when I phoned to complain. "No worries," says Yael, "we will send you a longer band." Which arrives a few days later. Now I am even able to wear my timing chip on it. As mamps says, hope i never need to use it.
  5. LBS has a Park Toolkit in a carry case, with each item in its own little slot. Think its going for about R538.00
  6. Very sharp
  7. Surely the wind behind you must have given you a clue?
  8. Yes. Apparently the informal settlements are on fire. Saw a headline this morning "Kasis brand alweer"
  9. What about all the events and teams they sponsor? The F1 team alone must cost in the region of $60 mill. And that Air Race event that travels the World cannot be cheap.
  10. Depends what you do. Knysna has to be tops if you ride MTB.
  11. Q20 or HDW With this in mind, what do you use to clean your chain?
  12. You may be correct about roadies, I am one. But do not be slow on single track. The other day in Majic I thought WTF with the comments of the gungho's coming past or catching me from behind, on their shiny full sussers.
  13. Oats is still the best breakfast. Should keep you going for most of the morning without the spikes. Keep the fruit and yoghurt for either lunch or a mid-afternoon snack. Stick with the old adage: Don't stand if you can sit and don't sit if you can lie down.
  14. A problem with closing Tradouw's is that we broke a back spoke in the first 18k's and if we weren't able to replace the wheel, even at the top of the pass, we would have lost a team member. Hendrik S I thought that the rules had been changed to not allow feeding on the go with meusets. We stopped twice and it worked pretty well for us.

Has anyone else ever had a similar problem? My Garmin has now started switching off in the middle of a ride. From what I am told there seems to be a problem with the internal wiring of the unit which has to be sent in for repairs.
  18. I saw an article a few weeks ago that stated at the current rate of intergration by about 2300, if not sooner, there will no t be any more white or black races left on the earth. Apparently the only racial group that "might" still be shall we say pure will be the Chinese race.
  19. Just think, someone has to put up with her s*#t 24 hours a day.
  20. My wife bought me two just before this years Argus, sorry cannot remember which one. Popped one (with water) about 30 minutes before me group started and almost instantly got a sort of jumpy nervous twitchy feeling that lasted until about the end of the Blue Route. I think the second one is still lying in the cubby of my car because I havent had the courage to take it yet. Since then only ever used GU Espresso Love.
  21. I think this is probably one of the sickest photos ever. Thank you Minty for reminding us why we spend our days breathing recycled air in open plan office's.
  22. I have reflective strips on the back of my leggings which motorists say they see before they even notice the red flasher.
  23. Man that's nice. If you need a babysitter let me know
  24. No plans' date=' if you want hook up a group from that side, please do, by all means.[/quote'] Anybody from the Tableview, Blouberg area, lets meet at the Bayside robot at 6.15
