I am also training for 5150, do 90% of it in heated gym pool.....but you need the open water "experience" I am one of the okes who swim in Emmerentia dam, done more than 20 swims there and no issues (last one in May) Will probably be doing some swims there in Aug again, let me know if you want to join.

We also making a weekend of it....hope its worth it!

I ride the 2011 Silverback Spectra 1 and never had any problems. Great value for money and just love my bike I'm big Silverback fan!

I had the same kind of problem with my CS300, but only use the HR function, shows my hr% at like 111% for few minutes and then fixes itself. Found that when I restart the session it normally sorts out the problem, irritating though!!

I'm not the same caliber (IMSA) but for the sprint series stuff/Xterra I taper max 2 days before. And then enjoy the other hot topic, carbo loading, for the 2 days!! But I'm no expert, not even very serious.....
