Just waiting for the saddle to arrive, and need to get the bar tape on, and decide what I want to do as far as pedals go. And put the 16 tooth on the back so I can get the chain tension etc sorted.

Got the frame back from anodizing (eventually), and it didn't come out the way I wanted it. Finish quality was shoddy and I wasn't in the mood to keep driving from the south to Sebenza till they got it right. Decided to have it sprayed. Something I should have just done in the 1st place. Happy with the result.

Taking a med travel bike to France..? Thought for sure the full DH rig...

You should google 'how to strip anodizing' or something to that effect. I think they use caustic soda. Not sure if that process will be easier than sanding the black off.
