  1. the larger chainring gives you better top end as the shimano cassettes dont have a 10 like the sram 11sp. dunno how good the shift to that huge cog would be, big jump
  2. from my experience thats a pretty good setup, should get you over most mountains with the 32
  3. 2 to go for me, 600kms and 30hrs, will be finished tomorrow
  4. im looking for an entry for a friend... if anyone isnt going
  5. Who cares what the race cost, I'm going down for the weekend to enjoy myself, spend time with an old friend I only see once or twice a year. Kudos to the organisers for doing something in difficult times. We can now drink like fish, and still get a sub 3. I'm looking forward to a fantastic long weekend
  6. what race are you talking about...it only downhill after the cell tower climb ???
  7. This is an awesome race, in for my third full one...
  8. So who else is watching the T20 tonight ? Bloody eishkom seems to have cut huge parts of the country off....thank god for generators
  9. Sorry to hear dude, but I fully understand...I did the same about 500 m from the end. The spruit is a dangerous place
  10. I had the same problems...irritated the crap out of me. In the end I gave up and bought a garmin 510. Best thing I ever did. There is nothing wrong with Brytons product but the software sucks. Now I get home from a ride, press the save button, the thing has already communicated with my phone and boom the ride is in strava, no wires. No irritation..
  11. We need to do that one again now that I have a decent gps
  12. They do ask you to let them know if you are dropping down or your time will start when you were supposed to start. Has happened a couple of times in the last few months.

  14. apparently Rennies work very well as anti cramp
  15. must be something wrong with pressure gauge...the tyre will roll off the bead at those pressures
  16. tyre pressure is also dependent on what you weigh. I'll be runnin 1.8 rear and 1.6 front, schwalbe tyres
  17. skillzzzz clearly doesn't know his way round mordor very well....please take some food for him...or his bike is gonna end up in the bushes
