  1. Shouldnt take that long....
  2. Here is my view on a way forward: 1- read this whole thread - one of the posters is the owner of a global top 10 coffee shop, and there are several people who are overly competent - lots of good advice and links to read. 2 - once you have a reasonable idea of what you are looking for - then search the second hand ads sites - be VERY careful of scammers - and keep searching them daily. 3 - you can never have enough coffee equipment - like bikes, n+1 applies 4 - I suspect that you would be well advised to find your own grinder first - that Kenwood needs more skill than a good machine does to deliver decent coffee - but the biggest variables you can control is the freshness of your coffee and your grind - so get on top of those 2 first, then move on to a better machine in time. - and finally - owning a decent hand grinder is always a good thing - because as you become more coffee aware, you will eventually develop a travel kit.... and you need a grinder for that - traveling with a an electric grinder is not really an option - unless you are taking a caravan along...
  3. Try Father coffee in Rosebank
  4. Spur has copious amounts of Ethanol in various flavours.... dulls the pain of parties if used appropriately generously.......
  5. OK - will try come visit end of the month ish.... with Eddy
  6. I would rather go to spur than wear secret socks...
  7. The v12 HTFU cafe in Rosebank... ???????????????? By invite and appointment only... Currently the hopper has Grindngears coffee in... courtesy of our resident Nerd. Food basically terribly awol but the coffee is good - free too.

  9. Nailing... Screwing... all semantics... ????????
  10. Try a set of shoes with harder soles - like as in carbon fibre hard.... Other things you can try are: 1 - Heat moulded custom insoles 2 - Moving the cleat around on the shoes - towards the heel would be my first try - as far back as possible. 3 - Visit a good podiatrist - Chris Delpierre at Sport Science is pretty good - and has access to a number of other specialties at SS
  11. Not scary at all.... very refined - if hugely potent..... and like anything with power - a poorly educated right foot will get you in a lot of trouble very quickly - especially if the electronics are turned off - as they should be. But it's a kitten compared to a 996 GT2.... thats a proper widowmaker...
  12. Definitely not... Hippocrates never referred to what other people do to themselves....
  13. Fixed it for you....
  14. soft... another failing grade... ????
  15. Time to ask your mates if they know someone who can come in once a week and wash, clean and iron in exchange for cash. When I was still single I adopted the domestic engineer that came with the house... Granny Sylvia retired after about 10 years and her daughter came to work for me - then she became too ill and granny Sylvia came back with grand daughter in tow to teach her the ropes - good people all. But yes - I can iron... courtesy of some time as a circus man - it's not a difficult skill to learn.. most women can... ????
  16. Clean it.... and take it out for a test run.... you might like it....

  19. Try Toolquip and allied - they have a website but their catalog is a beast.
  20. Don't bring your boyfriend into this....
  21. You have a personality? where?
  22. Everyone agrees to a code of conduct - adhere to it or leave.... They also make sure they have a good count of who is going on the ride in advance and split them up beforehand to make managable sizes - and lets face it - anything over 20 riders is a BIG group on public roads
  23. They don't need 1 additional group - they need 5 - 10 additional groups
  24. I think the facts of the matter are simple: 1 - Cyclelab groups are TOO BIG 2 - The club management does not attempt to split them into smaller more manageable groups and manage their attitude to other road users appropriately. And - on a personal note - this leads to people not wanting to ride with them - me included - although historically I used to - but there are other more ably managed groups out there that are much more pleasant to ride with.
