  1. Not going to polish out easily... Really really unfortunate event indeed.
  2. xmcarbonspeed.com dh rims - speak to Peter
  3. It is indeed - almost the same price as a pharos.... which is by no means a compact travel grinder, but is a brilliant thing if you have space. But the Lido et looks good too as a travel grinder. http://www.oehandgrinders.com/OE-Manual-Coffee-Grinders_c_1.html
  4. I only found 1 - but Iteachcoffee will know if there are others https://onlinecoffeeshop.co.za/brand/comandante/
  5. Cheap and easy - basically old fashioned varnish. Run a broom with it over every month and you will never need to refinish it again. My old mans jetty is done this way.and the wood is over 20 years old... full sun rain and salt water...
  6. I have been skiing in both... Very expensive compared to other option
  7. Maybe run a powered wire brush with the grain over that before sealing it - will keep the weathered look mostly intact and get rid of the loose stuff. Definate;y want to check what the state of the support structure is first and fix that.
  8. Helsinki is one of my favorite cities - spent about 2 years there in total - got a few mates there if you are bored
  9. Do you mean this one? http://www.comandantegrinder.com/
  10. Only place to go really after that is Orphan Espresso...
  11. Just use a hole saw - from the inside - you can use a rotary tool to clean up afterward but if you have the right hole saw it's pretty clean. Just dont sacrifice a nice looking pf...
  12. Looks good - and a nice looking cup as well - what cup is that?
  13. Now start to learn how you machine temp works - there is a deadband on the thermostat, so learn when the element is on, and when it's off (either the light is on or off depending on the machine - watch it when it starts up to figure it out) Then get ready to draw your shot the instant the element turns off when the machine is fully warmed up (boiler at max temp) and be consistent with that (it's the only place in the on/off cycle you can predict the temp to be the same every time (it might be wrong but at least it's the same every time) - with the really small boilers/thermoblocks the cheap machines use, it's really hard to be correct and consistent to manage the temperature - but consistent is at least half the problem... you will never get that small machine perfect (or even good) temp wise, but you can be reasonably consistent at least
  14. Dow corning 111 (or equivalent) is what you want - not sure where you source it from in CT - but shouldn't be too difficult to find.
  15. Deal with what will kill you fastest first... And that's unlikely to be a small stone... much more likely to be a lack of decent coffee....
  16. This is just so you can take a shortcut on your morning ride....
  17. Visit a competent urologist for a proper assesment of it - and see if he can perhaps break it up using ultrasound - the tech term is Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy - but it can be painful and is often done under general anesthesia - not all urologists have access to this kind of equipment. You could also take Alpha blockers to relax the ureter etc and help pass the stone - not very natural and needs professional care. The other treatment I know exist is using potassium citrate to dissolve the stone - but I can't advise you on this (don't know much about it) - but again - your urologist should be able to give you the correct guidance.
  18. Tap water does not contain uric acid.... which kidney stones are made of... drinking more water reduces the risk of stones
  19. Your mother will say its too much money..
  20. You are scared of your wife...
  21. I drink coffee - not water....
  22. Or in Jhb - just leave the filter out.... - my Super Auto my wife uses has about 8000 cups through it - no filter ever - but it does get cleaned and descaled as per the machines somewhat feminine wiles... You could also try the Saeco shop in Rosebank - this might actually be in Parktown North - it's on Jan Smuts avenue. http://www.italianlifestyle.co.za/ is their site
  23. It depends very much on the barista at the specific shop - nothing wrong with the equipment or coffee they have.... but barista capability is very variable - especially in the smaller in-store sites. But come visit my place... then you will understand...
  24. 101SCC is going to blixem you.....
