  1. There is plenty around here that are quite hard so it can be true
  2. TNT I just wan't to avoid confusion as already European pro riders for Saffa riders where announced where they where actually non pro contracts or for just the feeder teams.
  3. Not necessarily often you have some friends of manager, sponsor of even riders on the roster and not for merit. Read clear this is a general remerk an not aimed at Louis as I know not much about him.
  4. Lets make clear that its is the semi Lotto Feeder team and not a pro team
  5. He/She gets an Olympic certificate which you get for first eight and is actually valued quite highky amongst athletes, you obviously never made it to the olympics else you would have known. Cheers Crazy
  6. keep it like it is get a woolen jersey and line up for stuff like the Eroica just cos you can
  7. Looking for stage start times especially last stage so that I can go and watch along the route but its hard to get there in time as I can't seem to find when the first Guys/Girls start
  8. Dude, Relax you are seriously overreacting IMO you don't own your lip or the road behind you. somethimes its just nice to be shielded from the wind even on a training ride.
  9. Carefull with the drilling it will build up heat so keep water closeby and cool op your sole from time to time as else you might melt the sole and ruin the shoes forever.
  10. Its a nice ride challenging but doable. Rode it on the MTB maybe walked 200m towards the end so don't ge frightened by the claims you need to walk 7k's. I am rather heavy and rather unfit and I managed so its possible to ride most of it. Nice thing would be to continue after the pass and break the 3.000m mark, sadly had to abandone that as 500m from the top all hell broke loose and I had to take shelter in the pub. Most importnat thing bring clothes for wet weather, check your brakes take some drinks and pace yourself. For the downhill if brakes overheat cool them with water either from a stream or you bottle its maybe not 100% good for them but it works magic and the steam looks rather cool as well. No worries to go alone make sure you leave before the daytripper jeeps and let them be your back up if needed. Enjoy tha ride
  11. True he needs to size up the new bling are Sandman's Gobi's or Surly's Pugsley Finished struggling over rocks and roots http://www.google.be/search?hl=nl&biw=1596&bih=693&gbv=2&site=search&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=sandman+gobi&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq= http://www.google.be/search?hl=nl&gbv=2&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=YWu2TfHbCIu-uwO3qdWiAw&ved=0CDIQBSgA&q=surly+pugsley&spell=1&biw=1579&bih=693
  12. 70 is good very good actually top class is 80+ sadly Polar is far from accurate so you might as well be 50 for real
  13. There is actually a fourth side only suitable for MTB. Might be there the same dag as Williehond as my company is also sending a group. The boss heard I used to ride and now I am somewhat forced to join in if I am not in the bush working. Haven't been on a road bike since august gonna be fun
  14. They are still far off. There is a few realy a few recently redone but most are still a mission just to pass.
  15. At work, accounting and logistics very busy actually End of year accounts deadline closing in and lots of staff changes around the holidays so logistics is also a big handfull we work 7/7 public holidays are just a line on the paycheck
  16. Not as dangerous as her husband. For every problem there is a solution Though it might be lenghty and painfull
  17. I hate it when people talk like this. Totally irrelevant. You get payed in euros' date=' not rands.[/quote'] Mampara I see you and others make this remarks and its utter bull sh!t. Yes he is probably paid in EURO But you with a good SA job will get 20.000 Rand. You guys think that the EURO guy gets 20.000 EURO no ways he is already well paid if after taxes he gets 2.000 a month. So if you convert he has probably a bit more but by far not enough to justify a price difference of almost 200% Cheers
  18. Crazy lined up in the A4 start group and seriously questionned the seeding. Catching A3 within 7-8 min, catching people from first start group within 30 min how do they get there?? I do understand that I as a foreigner have no results in database though there where quite a lot strangely seeded locals Left close to the front of my group and went onto the dirt with the first le some ride as i am not really fit. First bottle neck when we catch A3 slowbies. Used th blockings as recovery though walking for that little rock made me frown. Rode past quite some people probably overdoing it a bit. Pity there was a huge bottleneck at the main river crossing would have loved to ride that one. Started to fade a bit at the 30k mark where a nice squeek koined me from BB side thought it was another shot BB. Stopped at last waterpoint for some grease, they had 0.0% grease or tools over there what a disgrace for an event with 1000's of participant. I tend to take quite some tools but IMO a race needs to have a pump grease and some tools at waterpoint. BTW they hadonly water and a little bit of juice quite sad also. Rode on and got passed by an ambulance which joined me for most of the rest of the route. Finshed after just more then 3 hours and found the crank loose so maybe its only the crank and not BB apologies for all who had to endure the squeel between k 35 and 45. About the race sad to hear that apparently some of the top guys took a short cut even if not intentionally you can check your speedo and speak up. If you are not in passed by people who where already in front of you you know you are wrong. At they front most know very well who's gone and who not.
  19. Hubbers, Crazy is back in SA and was thinking of stopping by in Leshoto on his way back from 94.7 to the coast. Now how is the riding in Lesotho for MTB? Is it safe on your own? I do speak English and Afrikaans but no local languages is that sufficient. Accomodation any reccomendations? Knowing that my car will be a two wheel drive so not at the top of sani Pass or something like that. Anyone keen to join ride not to fast enjoy the scenery look for technical stuff. Cheers crazy
  20. ome pics wouldn't hurt
  21. Wise words' date=' from this day forth I work at the bank [/quote'] I used to do, don't they will all rant about bank costs huge profits you make with their money(actually most normal clients profits are low or neg) And now they blame you for the crisis too. Its almost as bad as admitting to being a cop and getting a rant about stupid fines and catching real criminals
  22. What a load off bull, Tom has been using for years. Has been spotted in night clubs infested with drugs beinng very familiar with owner and bouncers. One of his better friend and former Pro cyclists has admitted having a big coke problem. Framed come one, you musyt be very naieve to believe that.
