  1. It's called " Pit Stop" and at present I have had to order from the UK - Parker International but my LBS seem to have something similar. It is really impressive and has worked very well for me.
  2. At higher pressure the puncture resistance is greater but the handling sucks.. I run my tubs at 100-110psi and they handle great. No pinch flats with tubs is the advantage so you can run them lower and corner harder
  3. What is the online entry link ?
  4. Are we sure that an easy entry on the day is good ??
  5. No problem. The Coggan / Allen book is top class. It sure is' date=' But it's like a Science text book. You don't get to the bottom of the whole story till you've read it the 2nd time I've got a copy of Joe Friels: The Cyclist training Bible as well. Once I've digested both I reckon I could BS my through life as a top class coach and not have to endure the sacrifice youmade hey Peter? [/quote'] Friel is a bit outdated now but is a good starting point.. No sacrifices (except financial) - it's a passion
  6. Very interesting site indeed - there seems to be an emergence of younger riders who are willing to stand up and be counted - great for the sport.

  8. Yes - works 100%
  9. Are your seat heights and setback exactly the same on both bikes ? (If not then make sure they are) If not then you want to look at cleat position on the MTB shoes possibly ? Something is likely to be different but it also occurred to me that your extra kms and the fairly dramatic increase may have played a part ?
  10. Caught me out completely there - geesh, I thought that was way out of line It was.
  11. Now you are getting way too technical Told you I'm a geek' date=' but I think that Bruce has one over me with TWO powertaps! Bruce, lemme guess you are single - right? Either that or you have a very, very understanding better half. Or more likely you sneaked them into the house one very dark night and hid the invoice. My wife would've had a fit ... well in fact she did when I came home with one powertap and a set of new rims a week after I bought my new bike. Can imagine if I came home with a pair. "One for training and one for racing dear". [/quote'] I have three... But please don;t tell the Mrs - they just don't understand our needs
  12. Now you are getting way too technical
  13. Yep, you've been slacking! So for punishment I think that you should go out and do that 60m TT anyway!! Yeah...go do it and then post the results for the armchair critics to analyse
  14. Whaddaya mean not that impressive?? Are you using CyclingPeaks software? If so then set up a chart with the bins at 10w "wide" for the D2D and a couple of your recent hard training rides. You should clearly see a large drop from one bin to the next (on the downward slope side of the chart) indicating the FTP. Using the average value from a few recent hard rides will give you a good indication of your FTP. I would agree with Bikemax that you should be pretty close to 350w and your 4.5w/kg goal. You after a job or something
  15. Well thats not too shabby - I was at 4w/kg up Red hill but got dropped so there are certainly some SV riders at 5w/kg at the moment. Just got to keep working at it - if you can get to 4.1 + then you will be ok Bikemax' date=' are you guys referring to the overall ride, or the Redhill climb? Over what time period are these numbers?[/quote'] Bruce - the earlier numbers were for FTP but the red hill numbers were for the climb only - I was at an NP of 292 for 70kg for the 20 mins leading up to and including the climb hence the 4.1 figure. NP for the entire 2.44 ride was 246 or 3.5 w/kg.
