  2. Well, I should be about eleventy seven percent faster with this on the rear... Had to order it as they weren't in stock at my Spaz outlet. Sure gonna look zeff on my giant reign with my Schwalbe front rubber. STRAVAAA! http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb11041573/p5pb11041573.jpg
  3. may just have committed the ultimate sin. Bought a Specialized Slaughter Grid tyre for the rear of my Giant Reign, to complement my Schwalbe Magic Mary front tire. http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p5pb11041573/p5pb11041573.jpg
  4. I have it on good authority that he was sighted riding a canary at jonkers on Sunday....
  5. Mate of mine. Nathan Heyns. Search him on Vleisboek - Nathan Heyns Cabinet Maker.
  6. Ah, yes. I've seen it but not done it yet. As for that drop - yeah. I've rolled it and then done it again properly a couple times, but the nopes carry on coming back. Need to slay that dragon! It's smaller than the rock drop further down the mountain, just before the multi-berms. And I do that one no problem...
  7. hmmm... are you talking about the one at the other side of the open field thing? That's an ACTUAL drop? If not, not sure which one you're talking about. Haven't explored a lot - just taken the normal lines.
  8. no, he paid 30% plus vat. Or, rather, he should have.
  9. good stuff! And yeah, the blind lip is offputting unless you roll up to it very slowly the first time. And you see what I mean about treating it like a drop? You'll flat-land it into the berm. Not nice... So best is to sorta pre-jump it so you get rid of the potential over-rotation from the rear wheel. Like approaching the jump section at Bloemendal... that first slope into the trough, you need to hop into it otherwise your back tyre will want to pitch up just when your front is on the way down...
  10. not entirely sure, besides monitoring their own and then checking with each other. We do the monitoring every so often for our clients, so sometimes we ensure that they're doing what they need to do if they have a history of being slack, and telling them that they need to do X/Y/Z. But mostly, we've trained them to do all the online stuff ASAP and then we hold assessments in office. So the exercise stuff is almost an extra cherry on the top for the majority of our guys...
  11. Nah, with the bougie there it'll not matter. If the extension falls apart it'll actually hold it up, they're that hardy. Plus if you use treated lumber (roof trussing etc) it's almost impervious to rot.
  12. Wooden trellising, screwed / bolted to the wall.
  13. I've met him... http://www.baxterboo.com/global/images/customerimages/large/boy-mouse-dog-costume-1701.jpg
  14. Thing is that the new additions in G Spot won't make it possible to knock him off. Lots of rollers and other features put in at the fastest section (just after the road gap) and a few more obstacles in place. It's almost a different trail. Remember riding it a while back and wondering HTF all those "new things" got there, when I was used to a sorta freeway on the way to the koppie. Now you have to be aware of it or you're gonna be riding a bucking bronco if you take the same approach.
  15. LOL. I reckon we're gonna have the same problem when tokai reopens. New lines, shorter lines, longer lines.. I think there has to be variance of more than 50% or something in order for it to be recognised, but it is a problem that I wish the developers would recognise and somehow "close" a segment if a trail centre tells them it's an old unused trail or something.
