  1. I'm a puffy... does that mean me, or am I supposed to keep left cos I'm like Eldron, and have a 25kg boep that I need to shed? (Hence the "puffy" designation)
  2. Work? What's that? Being stuck at home with a lightie that has suspected hand foot & mouth disease does not lend itself to productivity....
  3. Oh, right. Attack the person. That's such an intellectual approach. My assertions and comparison were based upon your extremely indignant post, where you claimed that you weren't finished, and then proceeded to label that same woman as "scum" because she didn't move over for you. Civilised conversation? With regard to what, exactly? And how have you started this? With an attack on the person saying that your attitude of "everyone must move over for me if they are slower" is one that draws parallels with the blue light brigades. That you then pat yourself on the back for your self appointed "good sportsmanship" speaks volumes. As for you saying that i lack ability to converse on a civilised basis - that's just an ad hominem attack - a staple tactic of those who have nothing to add, yet try to discredit another based on something that they disagree with yet cannot offer evidence to the contrary. But - as I've now said my piece, I bid you a good day. May you find peace on the Trails, and recognise that the only way to get faster (and thereby pass those sub-optimal height female 29er riding specimens) is by: a) training harder b: getting a better seeding c: learning to pass properly.
  4. Oh Jeepers yeah. That's a real frustration for sure.
  5. You've admitted to thinking that it's everyone's duty to move over for you. Especially if they're female, shorter than you, "drive" a 29er and are in front of you. In a race. Where it's your obligation (as the person behind said vertically challenged female rider) to find a place that is safe to pass. Instead of getting irritated when she doesn't. But. If she got off and walked the step section, then she should have waited for you. Still. Your attitude in your post was clear for all to see. A very clear "me me me stravaaaaaaargh!" Mentality
  6. Dirkitect by the looks of things. Seems he has a problem with people being in front of him. Should put him behind the wheel of a blue lighter so he can have people move over for him on the freeways.
  7. Firstly - fork or shock? The terminology is a bit strange, but here goes. If you increase the rebound damping (toward the tortoise on RS) Then the rebound is slower as it has more "damping" on the speed. By turning it to the tortoise you are slowly closing the valves inside the rebound cartridge, which means the oil can't move as fast from one chamber to the other and the fork / shock isn't as bouncy (hence you increase the damping in order to get it less like a pogo stick) If you decrease the rebound damping (turn towards rabbit) it opens the circuits and the oil can flow freely, therefore it rebounds faster. If your fork or shock is locked out and it's still bouncy, there's something wrong.
  8. It's up to the person behind to ensure a safe pass is initiated. Unless it's a lap race and you're being lapped by a faster rider. If it's for position, then whoever is in front has ROW
  9. Yeah, Fabes. Sometimes it's a case of the guy who actually knows something about your problem not seeing the thread, or being drowned out by the "you're stupid, this is what's wrong" brigade (which changes from time to time) You do have a very good source of info in the Sheriff, as well as Droo, JB (at times - sometimes he has interesting ideas) Iwan Kemp, Capricorn and a few others that I haven't mentioned. I think a lot of what happens is that if someone has an opposing viewpoint that they honestly believe is right, they defend it to the last and then when proven wrong they revert to attacking the person who proved them wrong (happened to me when I proved edit: Topwine wrong on a med aid matter) and then they just don't change their viewpoint even though they're wrong. A lot of the time though, what we see in the tech qna is what has worked for the posters when they had the same / a similar problem. I think that's the case, at least. As with anything in life though - it's best to take a methodical approach, ruling out the bits that don't apply to you, either by trying ans discarding or analysing your problem and determining which "solution" has the same symptoms as you had.
  10. Looks EERILY like Crow, from an angle, with a bit of a squint. His OH would be kicking him out in short order though.
  11. my little doggie catching some z's, while the monkey has his nap.
  12. Lol. Tim, that "spoilt little rich kid" could apply equally to both of them.
  13. Sorry Marius - please could you change your avatar to one that isn't like Flowta's? Keep on thinking you're him as I generally go by the avatar in order to determine who's posting!
  14. Does Gummi Bears count? Spongebob? Yes, I know them. Does my lightie know them yet? No. Will he? Yeah...
  15. Ja bro, but the kids in those pics!? FFS. I'd have a VERY hard time containing my voice. There's mischievous, and then there's downright destructive. Those pics (except the cue tip one and the one with random toys across the lounge) are north of destructive.
  16. problem is he's all out of wheels. As of 21st August, according to the ad.
