  1. From the canyon stable, this is what I'd get if I had stage racing and general everyday fun in mind https://www.canyon.com/_en/mountainbikes/bike.html?b=3259
  2. NICE!!! I love swords. Of all shapes and sizes. But I'd love a Katana, Wakizashi and tanto
  3. That looks decidedly lethal. I like it.
  4. Agreed with Martin - the stage races don't make the longer travel necessary, but I separate from his advice here and go for the one with the slacker head angle, purely for the sake of flexibility. Also - the 110mm bike will be that much more versatile than a 100mm XC focused machine. That's what I'd do, really, if I had to choose between the 2 you're looking at. But what I'd do, personally, is go for a 120-140mm trail bike, which will be able to handle pretty much whatever you can throw at it. Something like the Cube Stereo 140, for example. It will be able to handle multi day events with ease, and be arguably more comfortable than the 100mm version due to the slacker HA and more travel. Suspension and shock platforms being what they are nowadays, the extra travel in the rear compared to the ones you're considering doesn't really make a difference when climbing - you can still flick it in to climb mode, and climb like a goat if you have the legs for that sort of stuff. PLus on the downs and technical stuff, you'll be far more well equipped than the guys on their 100mm race machines... My 2 shillings worth...
  5. Now THAT is beautiful. Used to go on to blades-uk and perve over the various bits they had for sale over there...
  6. Flippin heck, that's a thin profile!
  7. Here ya go http://weknowmemes.com/generator/uploads/generated/g1366890849458213287.jpg
  8. Yep, net grams of fat / protein / carbs. Lombard just got his mind mixed up a bit. A 300g steak does NOT have 300g of protein. Your figures were right, but have no relation to the gross weight of the food that you're ingesting.
  9. If it's from an heirloom piece passed down from who knows when, it is perfectly okay to have it adapted, no? e
  10. LOL. Pastry is awesome. I'm definitely going to have to find an alternate pastry dough recipe for shortcrust pastry - quiche, pies, etc etc. Love that stuff. Good thing is that any alternative will automatically have a very high fat content thanks to the butter EDIT: Coconut oil or shortening as well) in the pastry. Googling paleo shortcrust... Paleo Pie Crust · 2 cups blanched almond flour · ¼ teaspoon celtic sea salt · 2 tablespoons coconut oil · 1 egg 1. Place flour and salt in food processor and pulse briefly 2. Add coconut oil and egg and pulse until mixture forms a ball 3. Press dough into a 9-inch pie dish 4. Bake at 350° for 8-12 minutesMakes 1 pie crust or: Yield: 9-inch round pie crust Ingredients § 2 1/2 cup Almond Meal/Flour § 1/2 tsp Salt § 1/2 tsp Baking Soda § 1/2 cup Organic [*Spectrum Brand, sustainably sourced] Palm Oil Shortening § 2 Tbsp Grade B Maple Syrup § 1 tsp Pure Vanilla ExtractProcess Preheat oven to 325°F. In a medium sized bowl, combine dry ingredients. In a small bowl, combine wet ingredients (make sure to melt the palm shortening before mixing it into the batter, about 40 seconds in the microwave does the trick). Stir wet ingredients into dry. Pat the dough into a 9-inch glass pie dish, and bake for 10–15 minutes, or until golden. Remove from oven to cool
  11. Oh, but I did. Oh - sorry. You're an architect. You don't know about engineering and geometry. You just wanna make it pretty.
  12. The clamps opening isn't wide enough to go over the bars. Clamp opening is 80 deg. Clamp measures 31.8 at the widest point which I'd tdc to bdc or 0 deg to 180 deg.
  13. I fell into the same trap, hairy. The face plate encompasses 240 degrees, without a hinge. Draw that, then draw the bars. Both 31.8mm diameter. See the problem?
  14. One times Real Meal Revolution bought from Bargain Books - they only had 2 left (1 now) at the Canal Walk store. Yes, more expensive than Carl Ahari, but it's in my grubby paws now instead of godknowswhen
  15. Rock bottom prices, top one for my Mrs and bottom for me. For my (attempted) return to running
  16. DAYUM!!! WTF? There's something wrong there...
  17. You have a point re seed oils & grains though! However - that's very good for those living with low income. Anyway. Who knows where I can get a copy of the Real Meal Revolution? Cholestorol has rocketed up to 6.5 from my normal 4.5 and I am starting to exercise in earnest again, so I have a real motivation to begin the journey (I haven't been doing it at all properly recently)
  18. Nah. It's simple Dairy economics. Directly tied to the cost of milk, and have you seen how that's risen!!!

  20. Pre coffee Math fail on my part. 140% of the item price, plus vat = 159.6% of the original price (VAT is charged on Item Cost PLus Duty)
  21. Yeah, depending on the handling fee, and cost of items, it may indeed come to 100% of the actual amount...
  22. AFAIK it's 40% plus VAT. so closer to 60% in actuality - anyone else?
  23. He was in a state of AM-bike decidedlessnessness. Which is a horrible place to be. Realising that your HDR just isn't gonna cut it anymore, 'cos she's just got the wrong figures
