  1. I was going to suggest utilising your noggin. Seriously simple to work these things out. But then I am mechanically minded so I take these things for granted
  2. Awesome bike, but overpriced imo. Would far rather have the helmet! As for Grebel, no. He doesn't have a lapa. He's got a braai area with a perilously low ceiling. It's a danger to everyone with a drink in their hands. Except his wife. It's just the right height for her. Oh. And my names Myles. I wear lycra under my baggies, flats and a t shirt when I ride. And a full face helmet cos I like my face the way it is!
  3. Enjoy it guys! I'm on baby duty this morning...
  4. And eddy - a lot of that is I think to do with the loss of trees. The place has lost its romanticism and we need to find an adequate replacement by jazzing up the Trails completely. Unfortunately that takes time... more than some people are prepared to take.
  5. Yeah, hairy. The day entry price is a bit steep, especially if you're travelling from your side. Same reason I find jonkers so expensive - it's a R 200 Exercise for me each time I want to go there.
  6. 100% Dawid. It can get expensive when including the sprogs!
  7. But I have to say - if it went up to a grand per year I'd want at least 400 of that to go to the Trails.
  8. Even at a grand it's a bargain. If you ride twice a month that's less than 40 per ride. At a ride a week that's 25 smackers a ride. What else can you do for a grand a year? My wpcc membership is 1 1/2 per year and that just gets me ACCESS to the facilities. I still have to pay to play squash, cricket or anything else on the site.
  9. Tokai for a quick 90 minute ride. Slowly getting the confidence back...
  10. New price is R430 per year. Still a bargain!
  11. Droo aka Andrew Haylett, or Andrew Savage. The guys at Stoke, based in Woodstock
  12. Race The contour MTB path that is on proposal stage and runs from table mountain all the way to Cape point and round the other side.
  13. Rofl. You chop! There you go. On the chain drop issues, can't say I ever experienced that, but that's not surprising since I didn't ride that hard when I had a 3x and no chain guide. Was on the Hardtail. Always had a chain guide on the burly bikes. ..
  14. Sweet! Nicely spotted cap. And yeah, agreed on the catching action of the fd. Acts more like a guide than tensioner. But only really drops if you ride like a tit, or in rough conditions. Jeep track warriors won really see the benefit except in a quieter setup, imo. And 100% on the X9. That's the one to go for.
  15. Just looks RIGHT with that DHX on there...
  16. On a 3x gruppo, not much apart from silence and reduced chain chatter. In extreme cases, it helps wiht chain retention. But only if you ride HARD and then the FD normally picks up any slack.
  17. Fujis are extraordinary bikes. Had one for my first road bike. A Newest. But yeah. Their road bikes are HOT. Their MTB's less so...
  18. No worries bro. If I was going back to the office I Def would have. It's on the way after all... Anyway. Going through to tokai tomorrow thanks to (more) cancelled meetings. Fark this holiday thing.
