  1. That bag is missing a C, E & R. Native of Chatsworth, ekse!
  2. I would say something here, but it's guaranteed to get me a warning... oh fuggit... That's not what your mom screamed... (mayhem does a cookiemonster for real.... coooookies!)
  3. It's called the Cane Creek Double Barrel... that's the Ohlins for other bikes. Made by them. For Cane Creek.
  4. They're TOO powerful for you. Seriously. You know the tree? The one that George has a problem with when he swings from the vines? Yeah - well watch out... that tree's coming for ya. HARD.
  5. ME ME ME ME!!! I'll buy you a beer (sixpack) and send it via speed services if I need to. Or I can just give you this... http://files.doobybrain.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/high-five.jpg
  6. WAHAHAHA!!! Did cookie get into a cookie factory? He's a bit....larger... than I remember!
  7. OH btw - that jump isn't there anymore. It was a requirement of its installation that it would be removed after the race. There's a MUCH more sedate little booster into that section now.
  8. HAHA! That's half the reason I went to flats. Graceful dismounts. Can you imagine if he had been clipped in!?
  9. I need those more than you. You're a surgeon, you know what 105kg looks like when it doesn't have enough stopping power... (my elixir 5's stop me perfectly. I just want them cos they're purrrrrdy)
  10. It's the ones Hairy posted above, right? They are a bit spooky at first. Just have to session them next time I'm there
  11. You just have to pin it and hold on dude. I'm with you on this - I'm in the zone where I'm going sorta too slow to just let rip but too fast to plonk down. You just have to get back and treat it like a normal drop - let the bike do its thing underneath you - it's what it's good at after all! If you're going fast enough you actually clear all the nasties. So once you're past a certain speed, it becomes LESS technical. Strange but true. I'm yet to get there, but I'm getting there slowly. Funny thing is I hit all (most) of the jumps on the DH 3 line next to the jeep track. So it's purely a mental thing.
  12. Not personally, no. Just beware that most med aids will not cover it at all. Also - the med aids that do cover it (momentum & Discovery, if memory serves) will only cover at 70% of the "medical aid rate" and you will have to pay the rest of the accounts yourself. Gap cover does not cover it either. In addition, you will have to prove that you have undergone significant attempts at losing weight by normal means. That means documented consultation with a nutritionist for a minimum of 2 years, with proven track record of sticking to the regimen and gym workouts / exercise etc. You also have to motivate the reason for the surgery, and it cannot just be because your BMI is over a certain value - it has to be really high in order for it to be a consideration for med aid. Just do your investigations before you jump into it... If it is you who's doing it, that is...
  13. It's not... very different with Shimano hubs. AFAIK QR hubs are QR hubs are QR hubs and cannot be changed to 15mm / 10mm / 20mm whatever. They're unswappable. But can be reduced if you have a 15mm hub and need it to fit a 9mm fork. With a bit of ingenuity, that is.

  15. yeah. Let's see if DHL come to the party and offer me something as compensation. One of their relationship managers promised something, so we'll see. Pay for 2 - 4 day express, get 8 day via Australia. Pfft.
