  1. and this is the finish on the frame...
  2. Oh, gee whiz! Didn't I post them? It's been finished for months now! Will post again now...
  3. Going next friday to the ct showing! Yippee! Oh, and Dhmattm - you can normally download a full hd version of the film from Anthill Films' website. Or order the dvd.
  4. There's a Morewood Shova going for 11k here and on the contermanskloof mtb trails fb page. That's what I'd get, personally. You haven't listed the type of riding you do though. So it may be the wrong bike for your style.
  5. I officially hate you, V. So when you coming down to CT to ride some PROPER trails?
  6. Done. Pant, pant, argh! Thud. That's the noise I make when.I get to the top...
  7. Oh - quick favourite to ask of you... When she's built, we take our steeds to tokai (My GT your SLR) and we go swopsies for 10 mins or so... Hit up Mamba/Boomslang/Snake eyes a couple of times. You can see what a 25kg bike feels like, and I see what's on my wishlist...
  8. Keep it like it is. At worst, you'll have a replacement front tire!!! And, if Maya is to be believed, the next one on your list shoud be the Muddy Mary to go on the front... I think we ride the same, and this is gonna be my next tire. At the moment I'm running the WTB Weirwolf, which I looooooove!
  9. Yeah, I'm sure you will. A 13.5 kg 160mm trail munching machine... That'll be fantastic!
  10. Dude, that's NOT BAD! 13kg. Half the weight of my DH rig. And my, oh my, don't my legs know it!
  11. So does a freshly-painted frame. And fork oil. Funky... And yeah, I get ya. They're farking expensive as well. Something like R 2k for an angleset. It's a fantastic idea, but damn...
  12. BTW - you getting an angleset, or some other headset?
  13. You forgot the insistent touching / feeling / licking of the frame...
  14. ROFL. I know the feeling. CTRL F5. CTRL F5. F5 F5 CTRL F5... so did you go with the SB66?
  15. ROFL. Me? Fast up the hills? Bwahahahahahaha! Fast down, for sure.
  16. Thats easy... You never offer me any pies...
  17. You're more than welcome to join me and a mate of mine who is also "new" to mtb. I'm showing him the ropes and he's working on his technical ability. We generally go to tokai on Sunday mornings, apart from this week. Pm me your contact details and I'll let you know when we next go up. Ps: I am slow up the hills at the moment, as I'm lending him my xc bikes wheels and am rocking the downhill bike. Still concentrating on Xc technical skills and singletrack though. Just extra training for me.
