  1. A roof rack on an H1?! Damn... that's high! Don't go through any toll booths!
  2. Army / Navy Post Exchange store. Basically a local shop for Military personnel & their families... Discounted prices.
  3. Swiss, he's actually asking us whether it's OKAY to watch the Giro whilst on the IDT. Who the hell cares what he watches whilst he trains? If Jenna Jameson's Big Breasted Beauties makes him grind harder, then so be it. If his poison is the Giro, TDF, A Jaguar is Born or just plain Mythbusters, why does he need to get our okay? For some sort of twisted self-verification? Watch what you want when you're on the IDT. Not up to us to tell you that you're doing it wrong.
  4. Erm, that's exactly what Crow said, Droo...
  5. Riddled with leaks, speculation and rumour. With some photoshopped bikes in there to boot. Oh. Another long travel 29er... Tallboy LT. It'd probably be that, a Commencal Meta AM, Trance 9er (base version or at least one with a tuneable can at the back)
  6. Yep. That'd be me. Personally, I'd rather go for V's chariot. But then it will cost me a ballsack more than the trance. Which makes me think, 'cos I still want another kid sometime in the future... 'cos people r stoopid.
  7. Damn. I get goosebumps whenever I see boats like this in action. These, the Americas Cup 41ers (the big catamarans) and the 49ers (high speed mono-hulled dinghies) Not to mention the big mono-hulls...
  8. Build it yourself... Pat seems to like quality parts.
  9. Yeah. That really does make one sit up and take notice, doesn't it? But then I don't think the Anthem and the PYGA are looking for the same type of rider, right? Anthem more race biased, PYGA more trail? But if you take an anthem, spec the fork up (and gain R 2k from flogging the Fox in favour of the Rev Solo Air) and spec up the wheels you'd still have a KILLER bike for less than 30 big ones. Yes, you'd be the proud owner of another rat of the trails. But a good one. Just be sure not to get the GROSSLY over-subscribed silver/blue colour scheme...
  10. Damn... The mid spec is lekker. But I'd definitely go for the "better" spec at that price. Only difference is the gruppo / bar / brakes, but the diff in price is worth it. And the Rev solo air is in there. BOOYA!
  11. Dude, my 2011 REBA RLT Dual Air is going for 2.5k. Very good nick, and is currently spaced at 120mm (can be taken back down to 100mm / 80mm if necessary) They are white. I will measure the steerer tonight, if you're interested.
  12. Which is also why I suggested the Revolution...
  13. I'd rather go for the revelation wc dual air, tbh.
  14. Lol! It's one of my pet hates, dude. I mean, I take more risks when I'm on my DH bike, and take lines, jumps and rail berms like I never would be able to on my xc bike. Does that mean the DH bike elevates my skill level by way of its extra travel, burlier tires and super forgiving nature? Like hell it does. I'm the same rider - the bike just does a whole lot more! Sure, after long enough on the DH bike I'd be able to do some of the same things (at a lower level) on the xc bike. But that's progression, and it happens no matter what bike you're riding, as long as you're constantly pushing your boundaries.
  15. I'd still go with the trance, even though at that spec level it is a bit heavier than the other ones on the list. I don't like the 1-20 for some reason. Can't pin it down, but it just doesn't sit right. The Giant's suspension design is tried, tested, and proven. Plus, the frame is the same frame all through the range. Change fork / wheels and you're a for away. You'll have a bike for (most of your) life, that will suck up anything you can throw at it...
  16. Trance. Fantastic bike, and very good platform for upgrades
  17. No. Wait for the bigger bike. Just increasing the stem length will greatly affect handling, with you placing more weight over.the bars and thus sacrificing optimum fit and comfort. Rather go larger and reduce stem length if anything.
  18. Apparently the rd takes care of that little problem. New design and all that. If it doesn't, I reckon we'll be running 102 chain tensioners and 5 guides.
  19. Dude, you get them everywhere. And yes, it seems to be an "entitlement" issue, where the more you have, the more you believe you deserve. Again, this is a generalization, and is based on what I have seen on both the illegal entry side as well as ignoring directional information (one-way trails) etc. Basically, what is needed is an RPK for every single one of them offenders. Followed by the confiscation of the bike on the second transgression.
