  1. RC then. Cool. That with the deb 2 may be spectacular.
  2. Nope. Not related. The dishing JUST controls where the tyre & rim end up in the space between the stays. There's only one spacer, for the non drive side, 'cos the drive side cannot be spaced. If it were spaced, THEN there'd be a proper snafu as the RD would be out of line wrt the cassette. Cassette must always hug the drive side stays. RD is in a fixed position. And I know all the rear conversion kits only come with a non-drive side spacer. So no, you're fine. Your tyres are just misaligned.
  3. did you do the upgrade to the Charger 2 RC, or the RC2 damper? I find the RC2 to be a huge upgrade in terms of adjustability, which gives me the ability to tune the high speed compression as well. It's not a lot of adjustment, but it makes a large difference. Also - the "new debonair" spring is better (more supple initially) than the one in the previous gen (RC / RCT3)
  4. then your tyre is 3mm closer to the drive side than it needs to be. But, if you have wide chain & seat stays, that's not really a problem. Until you realise that your front and rear tyres are out of alignment....
  5. Or Dobbie... Depends if it was the Gangly Gibbon (full suss) or Hungry Monkey (Hardtail) The yellow may have been confused for orange... And they're both fkn quick! Edit: Ah, I see HT in that sentence. Yeah, that would have been Nils. All round good guy, purveyor of really cool vintage cycling bits and bobs and farkin quick, to boot.
  6. Yep. They've been around for aaaaages and are fine with front derailleurs. We're old enough to remember em. ????
  7. If you do the shift manually with your fingers, yes you can. A narrow / wide ring (regardless of whether it's oval or round) doesn't have any shift ramps, and therefore won't be able to facilitate the shift between the 2 rings. This sort of arrangement is useful if you want a slightly larger narrow / wide ring for top end, but want to retain the 22/24t and the monster climbing capacity it offers, especially for long sustained climbs.
  8. Correct, except they've also capped the points for 10,000 plus steps to a certain amount each month.
  9. https://www.evobikes.co.za/wolftooth-boostinator-hr-rear-hope-pro-2-evo.html there you go.
  10. yep, as Thermo said - wolftooth spacer kit, and a 3mm re-dish towards the non drive side and you're golden.
  11. that's marketing BS. A 32t chainring is still a 32t chainring. It's just that a slightly higher amount of teeth are found on the "power" stroke. But it's still a 32t and for a given cadence will return exactly the same speed on both the oval and round. Oval will just feel different.
  12. the thing with the table saw is that the sawstop is designed to prevent sawing into the flesh, not kickback. Theoretically the kickback saver maaaay work, but on a table it's the workpiece that gets thrown, not the saw. Maybe the magnetic brake can be used instead of the plastic stop, if it's strong enough?
  13. https://forums.mtbr.com/drivetrain-shifters-derailleurs-cranks/sunrace-10-speed-11-46-question-1068621.html Looks like it's a "you can, but shifting isn't great" mainly due to how the upper jockey wheel is situated. Most people are saying that a 42t is the max.
  14. OMF on iMax it must have been amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed it. It lived up to my hype-factor and then exceeded it. One of my favourite movies to date. Very similar in nature to Ready Player One, but very different at the same time.
  15. Good thing about the test is that you only need to take the bag that the doc (should) provides you with to the Pathcare / Ampath lab and hand it in. No need to see the Uro again, I just got a call from his office saying "congratulations"
  16. jeeeeez, dude. It's honestly RIGHT on the edge of what I'd consider acceptable for the current crop of AM-focused tyres, and I went on Savage's advice. I'm not gonna go wider ito tyres, so this will be an interesting experiment. As I said to Duane, I doubt I'll be able to determine what result is attributed to each change, but I'm willing to do it in the interests of #science. Stock Giant wheelset was 24mm internal. I went 11mm more than that and there was a HUGE diff, now I'm going the opp way but also increasing stiffness. Will be interesting for sure.
  17. Dude, it's actually so liberating. No fear of an unintended baby. Yeah, if you're single you still need to prep for STD's and ****, but for a couple, it's excellent.
  18. Weight is an illusion. There is no spoon. (he says, having just bought a set of carbon rims)
