  1. @helenzille I know there was plans to develop the vinyards between Van Riebeeckshof and the Protea Hotel into a business/residential area and extend the road from Jip De Jager to where that Pampoenkraal dirt road comes out, dual caridge all the way up to the robot at the M13, but that was out for punlic comment a good few years back (2-3 years if I remeber correctly).
  2. Hayley, Just want to say well done! It takes guts to go down the mainline, even with a DH bike I don't think I would make it down. Respect! PS Met your nephew on Saturday and he is very proud of you and shouted when you were coming down a practice run. He just could not understand why you don't want to do some of the jumps when you can jump over lamp posts!
  3. Got myself the Jura Impressa F7 and is absolutely loving it! Only thing is that it makes it hard to have a coffee now at a restaurant. Also makes better coffee than 90% of "coffee shops". Sure it is not semi-automatic, but makes great coffee.
  4. Hi, PM sent.
  5. Guess I have to start saving for this one! Now I just wish something can happen to strengthen the Rand again so it is even remotely possible to save up the money before I can't ride a bike anymore.
  6. Thanks V12man, I was also thinking that the smaller bean hopper might be better for our use. Beans should stay fresher. Coffee for breakfast and at supper time and a bit more over the weekend.
  7. Hi guys, I am looking at getting a Jura machine, but not sure if it is worth paying the extra R5k for the Impressa C90 OT over the Ena Micro 9 OT. It will be for home use, 2 people and moderate use. Any opinions? Thanks!

  12. I see NASA just used a 3D printer to print a rocket nozzle, imaging just printing your ceramic prockets.
  13. They interviewed Greg on Capetalk last night and he was asked if it is worth it for him money wise to be a pro DH'er or must he suplement his income. Greg's answer was that he can make a good living and compared it to what the national cricket guys get payed, but he also said thay you can't be a pro in South Africa and that you have to be in the US or Europe to make a good living.
  14. Do you know how much Crown charge Meezo? EDIT: Just checked their website and see it is on sale for R569! Maybe I should take a drive through!

  16. Hi all, So in support of my SO (She is very carb intolerant) l started on a LCHF'ish diet on the 1st April this year. Basically cut out all sugar, bread , pizza . cake . etc. Also stopped all low fat dairy products. Still have oats/weetbix for breakfast. Love Kerry gold in my coffee. Typically have at least 3 fruits a day ( apple, banana , orange) and double cream yogurt for lunch . Some stats:42 years old, 1.84m, started out at 93kg now at 81kg. Still have some fat around my stomach I need to loose, but generally quite happy. Not done lipid blood profiles yet, Quite used to the Iifestyle , but also not strict to the nth degree , but will avoid carbs if I can Anyway thanks for all the great into on this thread .
  17. Thanks Gerald for another fun TdF competition! Congrats Tridude, well picked! My 2nd year of dismal failure in picking a winning combination. Maybe next year.

  22. If you go through the website cost is SEK3998 which is about R4565 and that is for a single use, when you crash and it pops you send it back to them for recycling and they give you some discount on your next purchase. The product is stated only for road use when you are the cyclists and not sitting on the handle bars (see the FAQ). Not intended for trick, bmx or mountain biking.
  23. Nespresso is awesome and the extra geothermal works very well. Works with pods which makes it extremely easy to use and there is no mess. They have about 15 or so different blends and strengths. Pods is about R3 to R5 each.
