I had a look at that lid yesterday as well as the Bell Sequence (next in line as the Variant is discontinued). I found the Sequence to be an awesome lid, light and super comfy. I went with a sequence even tho it is more of an XC lid. It working out cheaper under crash replacement as well.

Hi guys, I managed to hit a tree this weekend taking out my front wheel in the process. I currently have DT Swiss rims and hubs on my old school spesh stumpy trail bike. I would like to buy a new rim and spokes and lace my existing DT Swiss hubs into the rim. I weigh between 100 and 105kgs at the moment and I enjoy the gravity side of Mtb even tho I do xc races and rides with friends weight of the rim is not a big concern. I am looking for advice on what rim to go for, my budget is say R500 per rim without spokes. I quite like the Dartmoor Raiders that Dail'd bikes have, they look cool and they look stronger than normal XC rims. They are also in SA so no import duties and so on. Have any of you used Dartmoor rims before and what's your opinion on them? If you could give advice on other rims within my budget as well that would be awesome! Lastly, spokes. What spokes should I go for? (Remembering I am in a tight budget). I see Dail'd bikes sell Dartmoor spokes as well, are they any good?

I went browsing the other day and was disappointed to see they don't have much at the moment. I did however go back a few times to relook at the Pinn'r even tho its not an AM bike but DAYMN it looks sweet! Haha

Hahaha! Such a cool event with awesome campfire stories! I am just super great full for my legend of a mate that helped me each time to get the bike going! After two rims he beat my original wheel from pretzel to crinkle cut so I could just roll our last stage and complete the event and just have fun! Doing so he almost sacrificed completing the event himself! What a legend!!!

That was my second pretzel of the day Borrow that wheel from KT cycles after I hit a tree and took out my own front wheel and that one just collapsed mid corner throwing me over the front and into an awesome pillow like bush haha
