  1. I also used to be a big fan of the race, but I can’t see myself going back any time soon...
  2. I try and fit in at least a couple of sessions a week in different shoes. Since I strated mixing it up it feels like the different shoes almost gives me a bit of a break. If you are going to a zero drop all together, you should look at decreasing milage and building up slowly again...
  3. Makro has a history of selling items at ridiculous prices to gain market in a certain area; even at a loss. Some time ago Makro was selling a certain brand of computer hardware for a period of six months at a price cheaper than what the competition could get them from the importers. Easy way to get in, and screw some of the competition over...
  4. Indeed. From previous experience this is correct. The climb back up is just a bit dodgy on a CX (as mentioned before). You can always just ask Victor to confirm, but I’m pretty sure NSBB is correct - just no podium
  5. https://cattonline.com/
  6. Some local stuff... Shaun Jacobs Band
  7. I'm looking forward to climbing Bakker's pass this year, instead of going down... The new route changes looks promising...
  8. Everyone will have a different opinion and preference... I feel most lubes are good , or they wouldn't be in business - BUT its also a case of 'fit for purpose' - don't use dry lube for wet conditions and vice versa...
  9. What mileage are you guys doing at the moment...?
  10. I just can't do the bus thing... usually irritates the @@@@ out of me...
  11. I'm also looking... lets hope... I'm also doing this later in the year... so if I can't get a C2T, at least the training is not for nothing... https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/171748-event-waterberg-traverse-299km-3270m-24hr/?hl=waterberg
  12. I like your cleaning set... Idea with the wheel at an angle is also nice...
  13. Your name says it all...
  14. Nice! Where is this...?
  15. The UCI regulations/restrictions pertain to the drop bars, so why not?
  16. Training is coming along nicely... planning another 200km ride on Sunday...
  17. Thanx, looks interesting...
  18. Thanx Dave
  19. Reviving a slightly older thread... Can anyone give me a bit more detail on fitting Thule bars on an Armadillo on a Wildtrak Ranger? Where do you start? With Armadillo agents, or with Thule agents?
  20. WTF Pathelicious??? The probably just have to help keep a sponsor happy.......
  21. I haven't done a race in such a long time! I decided I want to try do a hard run for all the common distances form 5k to 42k over the next couple of months, to see what my "PB" would be in these... Haven't done anything "fast" in years...
  22. The road surface there depends a lot on recent rainfall... It should still be relatively dry then... Riding with cataflam especially on such a long ride is just being silly...
  23. I'm doing a SLOW 150-160km ride on Friday...
  24. With those kind of distances, its the best approach...... no need for technical riding if you not racing technical events....
  25. You training on road bike, or MTB on the road???
