  1. SLX, no way I am adding 100g to the rear wheel that will save you R250 odd rand over a year or more.
  2. Hi, PM me if you want some numbers of guys regularly riding there. They know the ropes and wont mind if you tag along. Heres a few maps: http://media.withtan...tb_map_2013.pdf http://www.mtbroutes...ellenbosch.html http://irideafrica.c...tain-bike-maps/ If you are going to do jonkers please do yourself a favour and do bottelary hills as well!
  3. All these jouburgers who come live here and mess up our vibe
  4. Only reason I buy from cwc is for their prices. SA's biggest bike store, turnover and ego wise. Oh, and I like the black guy at the coffee bar .
  5. On a fox for the first time, and I like it more than the reba. The lockout is much better and even though the first bit of travel can be a bit more rough, when you on a trail where you need travel the fox provides. Feels more solid but that can be cause of a few factors.
  6. Just have to go pick my new emd baby up but I am super excited. Steel or carbon niner rigid forks lying around anyone?
  7. Shimano deore M596 brakeset Specialized sport mtb shoes
  8. Shimano deore/slx/xt vs formula R1 is about 110g lighter per side.
  9. Guesstimate: 40g less per side on the formula's. Bought a pair second hand and they are MOER light.
  10. That would be like asking bike manufacturers to tell their customers how crap the wheelsets they put on some bikes are.
  11. Are the pads too close to the rotor now? Take out the wheel, remove the pads, use something to carefully press the pistons back in place, insert pads and away you go.
  12. Question on everyone's lips..does it ride as good as it looks..?
  13. Tried ordering some stuff from easybike..no stock, then buycycle..no stock. Oh well.
  14. Any reason why you went crests over arch ex's oom Ryan? Considering that it is fully rigid and all that, or are those contis all the cushioning those rims need?
  15. Ryan if I may ask..how much did they set you back. Read the medium is like 200 grams less than the large. That's quite a lot.
  16. Long story but there where about 6 gu papers at the first waterpoint alone. Now if you have to use a gu nevermind litter it after only 15km then there is more wrong than just your education.
  17. There was a crank brothers pedal broke off on the axle at the K2C this weekend. Riding looks and even though I have had trouble of them unclipping on singletrack I would buy them again. Either look or shimano.
  18. As for me making a contribution. Don't make a poll on steel frames and which is best. There isn't any best. Buy/ride the frame that you fall in love with.
