Buy it. you will not regret it.

I have one, the ride is telepathic.

It gives me so much confidence over jumps or in the air.

had no issues at all with dirt so far.

if you slam the bars the switch levers will contact the top tube in a fall which is irritating as mine is scratched now and its expensive to fix and will certainly happen again.

i did have the opportunity to swap out for the fox front fork, which i took. But thats personal preference. i just prefer the way fox forks ride.

i have no interest in owning another bike as yet, i really really love the way mine rides.

    Awesome! Many thanks!

  2. Hi all ,

Looking to buy a Scott Spark RC Team AXS model.

Anyone that ride the same bike that can share some info regarding the comfort of the ride; suspension???

Also would like to know if a lot dirt gets into the new internal shock. seem to be a place where a lot of dirt can get in.

    Your honest opinions please

Meerendal has seen the biggest change in this time .... totally neglected and pretty messed up, until about a year ago.  Patrick has done a decent job of repairing most of it.

Slow first ride to scout for the bits still needing TLC.

Dorstberg climb has been redone.  Turn up BEFORE rhe bench after Stairway to Heaven.

The Dorstberg decent is nice ... but take your time to learnt it .... been a few broken cyclists there ....

    Not sure of Hoogekraal.

Rest pretty much as you remember it ... obviously wirh a few small layout changes.

BIGGEST change .... risky cycling to the trails from the sea side .... plenty redistribution incidences ....

Thank you for the info! Much appreciated

  4. Good evening all MTB'ers and Hubbers

If all goes well I will be back on the trails again by hopefully end of May after 3 years of no bike and riding due the financial impact of covid 19......YES......only recovering now 😞

Been a member of the club since 2010 but obviously since 2021 not, so I'm really looking forward to get back in the saddle and meeting like minded people again.....I can do with some motivation to get rid of my "bier pens" and "wine drinking" 🙂

Is it safe to ride alone on some of the Tygerberg Trails, I use to ride Bloemendal; Majik Forrest and a lot of the Klipheuwel / Fair Cape Trails alone....was all fine back then but surely things have changed.

Feel free to share some feedback and even contacts for joining groups..... I live in Pinehurst, Durbanville

See ya on the trails soon!

    Best Regards

  5. Jeeezzzz I really hope that all of you are pro’s, didn’t know weight of a bike will make you a better rider, ride more and loose some weight, much better!

I think this is great value for money and if I’m correct Bike Addict sold them for R109 000 at one stage, so even better!

S-works / Specialized over rated, R240 000 for a bike is ridiculous, but still people buy them / finance them because of the brand.

Give Titan Racing the credit for developing well priced / speced bikes and I’m 200% sure there is more to come

  6. Hi Hubbers

I’ve been out of cycling for almost 2years and keen to get back into mountain biking.

I’m looking at any Scott Spark bike from 2021 upwards but on previous bike I had , I was Large.

    My height is 1.84m

Most people is telling me when buying a Scott Spark , I should get an XL???? Weird for me as I don’t want to be uncomfortable on bike, most bike shops don’t have demo models to test ect.

Any advice or info you can share with me will be much appreciated.

    Dankie

    My question exactly.

Weight, favorite trail and riding style are good starting points on doing setup. Your weight will determine a starting point for air pressure, while your favorite trail and riding style will determine whether to add or potentially remove air from that starting point before you start playing with the fork and shock's rebound settings, plus the Brain Fade comes into play as well. No shop or person will be able to just tune the setup for you, there's lots of fiddling involved which you will need to do over time while riding with a shock pump at hand.

What is your goal with setting up your bike, and how does it currently feel to you? Is it too harsh, or does it buttom-out? Have you played around with any of the settings yet?

For me it is to hard, looking for a more “plush” feeling if it make any sense?

Played around with the brain settings but still it doesn’t feel right to me.

Maybe need to go that route with hand pump

  10. Can anyone please help or point me in the right direction.....

I’m looking for someone in Cape Town (Northern Suburbs) to help me fine tune my S-Works Epic’s suspension.

No sorry .....I had no luck at local Specialized dealers.

I don’t want the normal “whats your weight” / “where do you normally ride” / ect ect

  11. 'for free' is actually R15 (150 miles) - once a month (we'll see if it's available again next month at that price)

Thanks to a few family members, my Netflix is now paid for until next year Feb...

Not bad for R15.....where and how do you sign up for that?

I'm on Vitality from 1st of May (3month trail period) to see if its all worth it, coming over from Momentum
