  1. Thanks for the response Carlos. We should organise a dig n ride day! I'm pretty sure we could get a good couple of able hands to wield some tools to make some heaps of dirt appear
  2. Looks like BikeRadar are onto us They recently posted this article... http://www.bikeradar.com/routes/article/how-to-make-the-most-of-a-trip-to-the-alps-22587/
  3. The whole seat post if it's the same as the i900 can be rebuilt. You issue could just be a drop in pressure in the air chamber. If you remove the blue nut & slide the post out of the housing there is a very small hole in the silver nut which is used to add pressure. Apparently it can be done with a shock-pump & a modified soccerball inflation needle. There is a bunch of info on MTBR forum (you'll have to register, but here are some of the topics with some info http://forums.mtbr.com/all-mountain/ks-i900-fixed-fully-rebuildable-home-693843.html http://forums.mtbr.com/all-mountain/ummm-help-my-ks-has-turned-against-me-693558.html http://forums.mtbr.com/all-mountain/ks-adjustable-seatpost-maintenance-684926-post7746792.html#poststop Hope it helps.
  4. For those who were wondering what the new Avastar club in Rivonia is like. Now you can save yourself a trip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REeg4LW14Sk I guess this vid somehow detracts from the awesomeness of this thread. Sorry.
  5. We can get Kenny stuff here http://www.kenny-racing.co.za/?cat=59
  6. Yup. It's the 4th leg of the National Series, so there should be riders from all parts of the country there. Anyone can still enter but entry fees tend to be more than regional races. (Normally about R300/R400 to enter) They have also extended the World's View track, with a high speed section in the final 3rd of the track. Should be awesome.
  7. My Maxxis Ignitors (2.35 LUST) have been really good to me on a variety of terrain types. They have also been really good WRT wear & puncture protection.
  8. I guess with a short track the final times will always be super tight. So, for Tiaan to take by 2secs is pretty phenomenal. The whiteboard at the finish line with everyone's times on it is an awesome touch and keeps everyone (spectators & riders) involved.
  9. They do do online orders and I think charge R40 for postage. I've had issues in the past of them not replying to e-mails & not answering their phone Let me know if you manage to place an order.
  10. Check out i-MAS. They are a motorbike store in KZN (122 Old Main Road, Botha's Hill). They do MX kits (shirts & pants for under R1k, they unfortunately don't do MX/DH shorts). They also have various protective kit on sale. I have found there prices to be very good when compared to other local retailers. http://www.motorbikeparts.co.za/ The Race Face stuff from CyclesAfrica is a great deal at the moment. Just size quite small on the knee/shin guards (eldows are fine). I got Mediums & probably would have been more suited to smalls. The sizing chart is pretty good though. The Digs are an awesome deal, but they have no Mediums left.
  11. A vid the Frerichs brothers put together from footage on Saturday. I was told that this was Grant's 1st DH outing (he does have some MX experiance ) and Ryan's 1st time back on the DH rig since breaking his wrist at the Contermanskloof National earlier in the year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNupXdOlKjE&feature=plcp
  12. Hope it's not a repost but, jumps n drops were the PinkBike 'How To" theme for the day. http://www.pinkbike.com/news/How-To-Drop-Off-and-Jumping-2012.html
  13. I'd definitely be keen to check a new spot out Any info on how to find these heaps of dirt? And any pics of said heaps being ridden?
  14. A good page to check out is http://www.leelikesbikes.com/build-your-own-pump-track.html for pump track info & this http://www.pinkbike.com/news/How-To-Drop-Off-and-Jumping-2012.html just happened to be on PinkBike this morning.
