I find mine dries quickly at work although it is a climate controlled environment. As long as you hang it in an area which has plenty of air circulation it seems to dry pretty quickly. We also have a gym and heated locker rooms so that helps. Sorry, boasting a bit there

Bummer man. I normally carry at least one unused tube, I don't always trust patched tubes. Lights sound fine, just make sure your tail light is nice and bright, I sometimes see guys early morning with floodlights on their bars and a tiny flickering gnat's eye at the rear. And yes just bad-ass it through the winter, arm warmers and leg warmers do help; it's not Gauteng cold in CT but a whole lot wetter so a rain jacket and cover for the backpack is pretty much essential. If I Iived in GP I'd probably ride in the winter wearing a fur coat...

I feel your pain, metaphorically of course, pedestrians in CT City Centre seem to be suicidal. A while ago a woman shouted at me because I asked her to get out of the way: she was walking in the middle of the road (Hout St quite a small one way.) staring at her phone, so I think my request was reasonable. But she went mental, almost as though I had no right to be there and her parting shot was "Why don't you drive a car?". Bizarre! Glad you weren't seriously hurt.
