  1. Why didnt you let the dogs loose? They would have caught him?
  2. My bikes are in a locked garage with IR alarm passive's both sides and chained individually to the wall at all times.... Once they get them loose I will be standing behind them with a baseball bat.
  3. you can buy replacement levers and brake blades for the shifters - pricing is almost the same as a new pair of shifters though... not really serviceable. You must run: Sram Shifters with Sram RD Shimano Shifters with Shimano RD FD's are interchangable as are cassettes and chains (not 7900 directional chain) Brakes are interchangeable but will not operate 100% Leonard Zinn runs Campy levers with his Sram red - google it to see how. It's possible to run campy cassettes with Sram/Shimano - but not 100%
  4. LOOK - Outright winner in the beauty contest!
  5. Spesh, then Sidi, then LG.
  6. Does anyone have any more details? My dad drove through this morning and saw a rider sprawled out on the road and the road is now closed. My condolences
  7. This tour is definitely not sprinter friendly
  8. Just a thought here but could this not be a rival bike shop's evil ploy to badmounth CWC just before Argus Silly season? Ok so it wasnt set up - um phone them and ask them to put it right - they will with a smile. If they then refuse then maybe it warrants a rant but come on? This interwebs complaining is a load of bull. People take responsibility! Did your wife pay for a setup? did she get on a scale there for them to get the pressures right?
  9. I will be there...in *gulp* ... Cat1
  10. He never bought them to ride, so no polishing, he bought them to resell. He has Bora's. why ride these?
  11. Since Shaun hasn't ridden them this would be "pre-delivery" damage
  12. One rim costs more than this entire transaction.
  13. the tubby is not affected so it is a side impact or stone defelcted into it from the side. The nipples are non std and I reckon this wheel has been recently rebuilt - the wheelbuilder should notice that pretty quickly in the truing stand.
  14. An impact of that magnitude whould have crushed the box and upon delivery would have raised a good deal of suspicion.. Edge is an importer and would flag that and open them - I have had many dealings with edge on honour and integrity and he's a straight up guy.
  15. crack or no crack - if she said they were dimpled and they are clearly not - that is misleading and should be returned
  16. you can get Hel line locally
  17. you need a new brake hose, connectors and bleed. Excellent excuse to go braided
  18. There may not be enough parts to subdivide so much, Maybe just full groups or Components. Sometimes you browse and see a RD, then go hey I want the matching crank, or guys advertise RD and crank together but in the Crankset subdivision, but now no-one sees his derailer?
  19. This kind of implies a full group and is a little misleading. Perhaps - Drivetrain/Components
  20. sounds good to me...tired of ads headlines like: Sram. So descriptive, I need a sram!
  21. swore I'd never get a full sus 29er but man this thing is playing with my mind...
  22. 7w/kg is like TDF threshold man...if the okes are pushing 7 then they will ride away every day. Somehow i think the power manufacturers are pulling the wool over everyones eyes, just like the clothing makers are labelling 36" waists a 34" Sure some are accurate, but 7w/kg and even over 6 is like an 70kg guy pushing 420w for an hour!
  23. Actual gravel section is from 5km mark...this includes my ride from home
  24. could they have inserted any more Mclean footage though? Seriously - nobody wants to watch one man riding a bicycle... show someone else. Plus he's on the show all the damn time.
  25. Who Cares! I WAS ON TV!
