  1. He really did himself proud. I could taste the blood in his mouth when he fought back on with 1km to go. The last km must have hurt more than thousands of kilometers of training. Respect.

    Rugby...

It appears nobody saw the Bulls devestating the Ozzie pride. Rather watch the stragglers fight for the wooden spoon.
  3. It was really unsettling. We have all had those moments were the group suddenly parts and you have no reaction time. That looked really bad. I expect bad news.
  4. This was a great stage to watch on the spinning bike. I thought I had a good workout until I heard Carlton going bonkers - he will be tired tonight. This is unfolding nicely. If Quintanna can get good health going, he and Majka will make sure nobody goes to sleep in the peleton. I hope snow doesnt rob us of any racing days.
  5. Just got an e-mail from Forever Resorts. Booking for family of 4! Will enter in next 30min!!!! Yeah baby. I will cover the back of the Open field.
  6. BTW: Not much wrong with her tech. She is obviously well trained and never pointed the muzzle in an unsafe direction.
  7. I vote for a desert eagle .50. They do buck a little.
  8. Today is a BIG day. We will see whether Quickstep can control a race like the Skyborgs from last year. I am setting my spinning bike up with a compact crank for today... Ha- Ha. Bulls already won, now for Quintana hanging tough (to be in contention later) and Uran to show composure and leadership. Cadel at 2min back will make for animated riding over the next week. Could be a great sporting weekend.
  9. Lekker man, Lekker. Will try this pm. If I get it right I will courier you a bottle of Japanese whiskey or is beer the only fluid allowed in your finely honed body?
  10. Case of beer for a (baby) step by step instruction on how to do that. Will be Nirvana. I am a computer ignoramus - no big words or abreviations please!
  11. Sufferfest do not apply the resistance (or I dont know how). GREAT music included. Buy one of their HD vids first (Giro is good) NB: BIG download - do it overnight.
  12. Ek gaan mooi kyk en jou PM. Ek het lanklaas dit gebruik - ek kyk nou Giro of Sufferfest. Sal jou laat weet. Gelukkig is daar nie tegniese downhills nie - anders sou ek jou tyd gemors het.
  13. Ipad works best for me
  14. Tip: If you use "gears" as opposed to W - set up your virtual bike with a compact crank. Even Contador does. Around a hour of climbing. The first /oldest vid has some bad visuals in the first 10m. The improved version is good. Try and race a virtual partner or you could easily fall into a slow rythm. See you at the top.
  15. I am on the Cycleops Indoor Cycle. Software is the same. I have been using it for a year now. All glitches sorted rapidly by the local guys. It is a great feeling to "ride" Alp Dhuez for a training ride. Ipad works even better than my PC. If you ask Dave and you send a harddrive they will load lots of training rides for you. In the winter I now only ride outside over weekends. Finished a training ride at 23:30 last night. Only issue is the constant smell of vinegar in my study. Virtualtraining + Sufferfest = BIG pool of sweat.
  16. OK nobody says it like Eddy does. Still a less manicured answer: You did not finish the race. You finished a lovely training ride on closed roads with waterpoints. The race finished after 7hours. My father of 74 still runs competitively - would never use any excuse for missing a cut off. I am glad he doesnt. What would happen if they make exeptions for every person with every possible excuse - would flu count? If you think time is that important you should keep it yourself. I suspect you want it on the website so that you can count it as another done. You cannot. Clearly it is the mere fact that exceptions have been made in the past, that created this expectation from you. PS: My Father, my wife and myself have missed cut-offs in the Comrades or Two Oceans. It sucks. That is what makes it an achievement to finish. Enjoy your riding.
  17. Selfs 'n blinde eekhoring kry partykeer 'n akkertjie.
  18. My impression of Shimano Lube (got a few samples) was that it spins of on to my roadbike's frame. Does that mean it is too "thin"? Why do they then even sell it? Real question not being clever - I know nothing about this.
  19. Jeez I hope Hoogerland does something in the later stages. He was invisible up to now. j Rod is just bad luck. Viviani - WTF is happening?
  20. I did not see S11 yet - so if my comment is out of place, please ignore. On S10 I thought Uran and his tribe was looking very composed. I think they must give us a glimpse today. I hope Cadel does not sow it up too tightly tmrw (from a spectating point of view).
  21. I think you need a lot of fast twitch muscle to sprint well. Most of your ability will be genetic. The individual needs to optimise it though.
  22. He needs another 90min of racing time, 1000m ascent and an uphill finish and he would be in with a big shout.
  23. What are the new features (not very familiar with Spez)?
  24. Funny post
