  5. Chris Jip, it was good enough three years ago, so should still be. Christie, I allready did the conversion on my hardtail and been riding it since december Put the 26" wheels back last week and went for a ride. Feels funny as hell, like a bmx, can only imagine 29 change to 26. But again, if it was good 3 years ago, should still be
  6. I am converting my scott spark 30 as we speak. Thing why I did it is I cannot bring myself to sell such a nice bike for a fraction of the cost due to 26" losing its value. So will do the conversion and ride the bike till it breaks or get stolen

  15. Normal cycling kit will be fine, you can run and bike with it
  16. Witkop, No not going. Was a bit short notice and to be honest I almost kakked myself when I saw how much it will cost through TSA vs. if I organised everything myself (option not allowed). So hopefully in a year or so the rand recovers and they decide to have the event in somewhere less expensive
  17. will also be there
  18. Just sharing our experience with Polar I Bought me and my wife each an RC3 GPS unit earlier this year After about 3 months we had a issue with the HR strap on my wife's unit, as well as she was concerned about the runtime (12-13 hours with GPS claimed). Her fear is that during comrades the unit will not last the full 12 hours, as she us usually just under 12 hours. So Gideon picked up the unit and HR strap from my home, and gave her a loan unit to use. They tested the unit and assured me it should last the full 12 hours. Last night he brought it back to my home, with the strap replaced under warranty and the software of the watch updated. He also updated my software while there (the unit now also has altitude function included) To calm my wife's fears that the unit will run out of battery life 30 minutes before the finnish he gave her another unit that has a 20 hour running time to use for Comrades day. Thanks Gideon, good service!
