  2. Thnx holy - cant you rather give it to hot girls/your mom? I ususally just tell them I'm not interested then the asks questions like why not and so forth. This one just know just started asking questions about my health!
  3. I'm being contacted at least a couple times a week by people wanting to sell me funeral policies, investment sh*t or cellphone contracts. WHERE DO THEY GET MY NUMBER and how can a person remove yourself from that list? I do not like to be rude to these people but donner they are really pissing me off. FanieFiets2009-06-09 04:40:27

  8. I love the book. It gives you all the tools to develop a year plan with base and peaks and stuff. Also what excercises to do to increase whatever ability. I think I get maximum out of my little training because of this book. from amazon: The Best Training Book Available, September 22, 2003 By A Customer This review is from: The Cyclist's Training Bible (Paperback) Having studied most of the works of Armstrong, Lemond, Hinault, Burke, Carmichael, etc. and having used personal trainers including Kirk Willett, the current Prime Alliance GM, I can say that this is the one book you simply cannot do without if you want to race a bicycle. Whether you want to train 100 hours a year as a first year racer, or are looking to rack up a thousand hours and get your first real pro contract, you will benefit from this text. I work about a 50-60 hour week and raise a family. There is no way I could have achieved the level of cycling proficiency I have without this text. It makes the amount of time I decide to spend training pay dividends on race day. This book has two potential drawbacks. First, it is possible to get too wrapped up in the minutae of planning each and every workout for the next six months. Friel offers literally hundreds of possible workouts to choose from, and a system for selecting workouts that will help you approach each ride with a specific purpose. So long as you have some ability to read and apply both principals and a suitable level of detail, this book can not be beat. My second issue is that I have worn out the binding from so much use and now need to buy a new copy.
  9. I dont know. It was brilliant! Really enjoyed it!
  10. ja, those pizza's took FOREVER! Remember you left me with quite a few few left that I still had to polish. I think next time we rather weber at the track or have some nachos at buena vista....also within 2 km from the velodrome and not that crowed.
  11. theres no choice of 'likes it'. I do. I got a sh*tload and like having them. Wont mind a T-shirt either. What really is useless is the patches. wtf are we supposed to with them???
  12. never ever. Think all this stiffness/limpness talk is just marketing bullsh*t.
  13. OK guys. The track is only available on the 8th, 9th and 18 to 21st of June. We are going to be there on the 18th. Let me know if you wanna join in the fun. Let me know if you need bike and your size so that it can be set up when you get there. There wont be any development riders this evening so we will have the track pretty much to ourselfs (hopefully). Cheers. 1. Fanie 2. BMCFan 3. Chrispy 4. Grayskull 5. Tarmac Gstr 6. Boris 7. 16. After going through Cyclist training bible again I decide to do some weight training. Dear donner I cant walk properly today. My quads are moerse seer. Anyone else that does weight training during winter? Or is the rule that only get stronger on the bike by training on the bike?
  17. no need to be nervous, just stay away from colonel (at his request!). It lots of fun as long as you remember to pedal.
  18. still waiting for mine, think some SAPO agent may have jacked it!
  19. any news?
  20. ok, spoke to Mellie and there are enough bikes for everyone. I will be there from just after 5 untill about 8 pm. Track should still be open after that BUT i'm going for pizza then (1/2 price evening). Idea is to have a lekker cruise around the track to get the feel. At 6 shortlegs will be there to give some structure to the 'training'. At 19:15 or around there we will have a short event to get the feel for that, something like a devil or 3000 or maybe both. Cheers
  21. there is no 'usually' yet. 2nd time we are doing this. I'll be there just after 17:00, but i think best time is around 18:00. Shortlegs will have a more structured program from 18:00 and we're thinking of a short race or 2 around 19:15 ish.
  22. sekerlik is dit anti-competive behaviour en jy sal aksie kan neem as dit die waarheid is.
