  1. Hi, I spot or 2 opened up in our hubbers league. Next event is tomorrow evening at 7pm. Bikes are available if you do not own a track bike. The aim of our league is fun and it is not nearly as competitive as the normal league racing. Girls also welcome. Send me a mail at fanie {at} boshoffvisser {dot}co.za for more info. 2. speedservices says they have no idea. They couldnt even give me an indication. Packages send through that hub will only be delivered when strike is over.
  3. chrisH - jaja, lees my post. Sal dan my heading na GREAT, AWESOME service verander.
  4. Send in my polar for a battery change. Phone polar first due to strike of speed services. They confirmed that the strike is over. Send it in only to hear now that the strike is NOT over and the parcel will only be delivered after the strike is over. Bid pissed off that they gave wrong info as I wouldnt send such expensive watch when people are striking. If they told me they didnt know I would have phoned SS myself, prolly had to do it anyway. 6. why dont you pay petrol money towards SSI?
  7. even though it says 1h that is not the time used to calculate. Then your seeding would have been 88 or something.
  8. page is up.
  9. there is a mtb and road training bible. Basicly only the cover is different.
  10. those look familiar' date=' but unless you are a sprinter, you may rather want to do 4x10-15m @ 70-80(aerobic stamina), and 6 x 3min @80-909(lactate tolerance). And that will be according to the heart rate reserve calcs. Then you won't feel tired, and are ready for more.[/quote'] jip, sounds better. Best is to have lactic threshold tested. my % were just guestimates. get the book at http://www.take2.co.za/books-the-cyclists-training-bible-paperback-3978124.html or kalahari

  12. So your saying rather stick to the less hours' date=' but higher intensity?? [/quote'] without a doubt. I do not have the worlds talent but try to train as intelligently as possible. Average hours the 8 weeks before 2007 argus wat 5.5h. But rode sub3 out of F. Longest week was 8h17 and longest ride was 3h19 (CdC 99). But it was moerse intensity and intervals. I use Joe Friels Training bible, it works for me as he really stresses on rest! I like that. In my 4 years i have only once spend more than 10 hours on a bike during the week. I am not close to pro but can handle my bike well enough.
  13. nee man, hy se mos tussen 75% en 90%. Dus tussen 150 en 180. Dit is maar net 'n gewone ride. Jy ry nooit onder 80% nie!
  14. of your options the first one is the best for sure. but try one day 4x 10-15 minute intervals@80~90% (3-5 minutes rest between) then rest day or 2 and then 6x3 minute intervals @above 90% of mhr (3 minutes rest). That should sort you out!
  15. het jou cleats ook al gebruik? By die agterkant, die vlerkies as ek so kan se.
  16. I use time but broke 2 sets of cleats allready......weird. Plus the cleats are expensive. How much is the look cleats and how walkable are they?
