  1. I only got the message today that my Ketostix have been sitting at the post office since Monday. It took them 4 days to notify me as well as update the server w.r.t. the tracking number. Dumb SAPO
  2. So that you know, with Lefty's new 2013 design the bearings reset themselves when the fork bottoms out plus service intervals are only every 200hrs! But yes, pre 2013 service intervals were every 50hrs. I've never ridden a Lefty but have only heard great things. I've got the 2012 SID which I love.
  3. I've got these as well, really nice. I'm on my third set of Bose IE headphones though. In the USA they have program where if you bring in you old (previous model) headphones, one pays half price on a new set. Not that there was anything wrong with the units I traded in. Had the 3 sets over a space of 6 or so years.
  4. At the moment I'm doing it the cheap way (in a can drenched in vegetable oil), but I do give the fish ample time to drain. I bought the Portuguese Sardines from Woolies. Tuna I just buy in brine and add lots of olive oil to it. Salmon I eat raw. I'll definitely look into buying "fresh" once I've made my way through the remaining tins. EDIT: forgot to finish my sentence.
  5. I take 2 1000mg omega 3 tablets daily and eat fish (salmon, sardines or tuna) at least 4 meals a week. EDIT: tuna is a very lean meat, so it isn't a very good source of omega 3's. Rather opt for sardines, I remove the spines though because hate the texture of soft bones.
  6. Questions for the morning, midday yesterday 4 hours after eating I started feeling nauseous. It only lasted for an hour but for that hour I thought I was going to die. If I google nausea and LCHF I get a lot of info regarding keto-flu and so on, but only in the first week of starting LCHF. Nothing further down the line beyond the first week. Have any of you experienced the same?
  7. A couple of months ago my body fat was 5% and that was when weighing around 61.5kg. Since on this food plan I've noticed how loose my bibs are getting, seem to be cutting fat on my upper thy. That as well as the "bump" directly below the belly button. (Hmm, too much info?) Anyway I'm nearly down a kilo since I checked body fat...
  8. In for the race, 2014 will by my 3rd.
  9. Well I wouldn't try to put a handlebar mount on my helmet to start off with. I've got a separate mount for that... Stretch, best you get a new fork to smooth out the road.
  10. Well at 60.5kg and 1.73m, I'm not exactly bulky per sé.
  11. Today marks 1 month of LCHF. I went to the doctor yesterday because after a week -coincidentally- of starting LCHF, a rash/allergic reaction developed on my neck and I've had it for the last 3 weeks. I gave my parents the benefit of the doubt and told the doc about the change of lifestyle. Instead of ridicule, he simply said; "I hope you're not trying to lose weight." After the opinion of 3 doctors they were able to conclude that it is an allergic reaction to something my skin touched... So I'm glad to report that my GP is somewhat clued up re LCHF.
  12. I use a philips screwdriver to tighten mine and it doesn't budge, I have tested it on a few rocky descents. My father also uses it on his aeroplane, the angle remains unchanged at speed up to 300km/h.
  13. Not quite the same as the descent from Graskop to Sabie where I've done 86km/h.
  14. It was quite intriguing going through your photostream on Flickr seeing the processed and unprocessed (hope that's the right term) images and just how much they differ.
  15. What do you mean by "impossible to mount the damn thing in one position!"?
  16. Ohhh nooooo... not ketosis, the horror!!!
  17. Action photo. The downhills felt faster because of the damn headwinds. My max was 72km/h, all 60kg of me.
  18. Checking at the results, were you up there in AL? How did it go?
  19. I must admit that it wasn't the strongest of fields, about 6 strong guys including myself. And thanks.
  20. Search for her on the hub, otherwise "Irma - @flexia" <irmaflex@gmail.com>,
  21. Sounds like marketing hogwash IMO. "works by quickly converting your body fat"
