  1. Having a good laugh at the 1 dudes Tshirt... Imagine wearing that Tshirt walking into Jail. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 On another note, he looks like he really needs a PROPER hiding, that face of his, with all his attitude you can sense, Yoh yoh yoh...
  2. The second number is listed on Trucaller as "Attie Engelbrecht", the whatsapp number is listed as a "business account" and say "automotive service" The 1st number is listed in arabic and I cannot read arabic unfortunately - Google translates it to "Nillaa Minjal" Hope you come right.
  3. Pre Goggavid, The SA ITT title was realistically between De Bod and Impey with Maincheese also in the mix, which Impey managed to take. However I think that was Stefans 1st year in a Pro European setup if I'm not mistaken... He was 2nd in 2019 and 2020 to Impey but came 1st inn the Africa Continental Champs ITT in 2019. This year's SA's would be exciting if De Bod, Impey, Pritzen, Gibbons, Maincheese and perhaps Willie Smit could all attend. I know this is wishful thinking but would make for exciting racing.
  4. Yeah nothing to suggest they're "Africa's" team now. So the only registered Pro Team SA have now is Team Honeycomb who bought over the ProTouch license and will now be Conti.
  5. So the week post DC, I saw the guys and ladies who rode for the Breiling teams did the whole visiting of the Khayelitsha township aswell as the Qhubeka hub and all the things the Pro Team used to do. I found it weird that they were doing it but then remembered that the Qhubeka team riders were all based in Europe and the visit is usually done in Dec/Jan when they have the team training camp etc. Then yesterday the new team formed by Doug Q36.5 had their kit unveiling and I see that Breitling is 1 of the main sponsors, So kinda made sense then that this "agreement" was in place for a while already and had me thinking the "Q" in Q36.5 perhaps stood for Qhubeka? However, The one thing I noticed though is on the list of contracted riders, not 1 of them are South Africans. So this to me is kind of sad to see because when this whole thing was launched way back when, We had a whole host of riders in the WT riding for MTN-Qhubeka at the time like Maincheese, Reinhart, Jaco Venter, Songezo Jim to name a few and at that time the feeder team had the likes of Jayde Julius, Kent Main, Nic Dlamini, Shameegh Salie etc etc and I feel that's where the country (and cycling community) really got the brand and started taking note. Now it just seems it's another team on the Pro circuit like any other, full of Europeans and nothing really to show from Africa bar the 1 Ethiopian rider. Probably why their slogan has changed to #RacingTheFuture
  6. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Can't even run my mouth properly...
  7. I wish I had the answers to the above questions as those are the very same questions I asked. Unfortunately as I said, I'm just the "messenger".
  8. I have a set of Syncross 420mm bars which came off my Foil. Also have a 110mm Cannondale C2 stem if you don't come right with a 100mm.
  9. I don't know the victim personally. I'm just passing on what was received/forwarded on our WhatsApp group unfortunately. The story about the buyer was in a VN and unfortunately those can't be shared here.
  10. Yesterday on Wynberg bridge two guys were accosted by 6 gentleman. From the whatsapp msgs I've received, the 1 guy was ahead and put his hand in his pocket when he saw the gentleman and he went past unscathed, they however attacked the rider at the back and made off with his bike down the side of the bridge. After a few phone calls to a few not so nice people, the bike was eventually recovered in Salt River from a known buyer who pays between R1000 and R2000 for a bike, the victim had to pay R1000 to get his bike back!! Imagine having to pay to get your own bike back because your own police service are so useless and they could literally catch the known buyer of stolen bikes but to them it's not a big deal. Begs the question whether said buyer is the reason there are so many bike jackings in the Salt River/Woodstock area as it's quick money for the crooks and a quick getaway in those side roads in Salt River.
  11. Traditional Christmas Morning Spin up to the Nek for snacks, laughs and champers to celebrate Jesus' Birthday and be back home before the kiddies wake up to open their prezzies.. 2nd year in a row I (and the whole group as a matter of fact) almost got taken out by the Peacock and it's kids strolling the middle of the road on the descent on probably the fastest corner when descending back to Constantia side, and we made the joke before we started saying "Hopefully no peacocks this year" LOL...
  12. Not sure i'll find this here as most people will still be riding with them, But trying to source these new is a mission and those who can get ask silly prices. Willing to pay aswell.. But anyone perhaps have a written off pair of Sidi shoes with the below heel rubbers no longer using the shoes??
  13. The obligatory Chappies pic, Couldn't help myself this morning with the beautiful weather. PS, Yeah yeah I know I know, cranks not in position, still on small blade, valves not lined up... It was just a quick stop and then off again...
  14. I mean I can't see **** besides the fact that the kit looks like the GB National champs kit... So not sure if anyone else has a better res pic...
  15. Lopez back yet?? Lol
  16. He is still 1st year u23 and already has some European racing experience, So I guess only time will tell.
  17. Just what I thoight would happen. So essentially "trying his hand" at road in a Pro setup whilst still keeping up with his XC commitments... Makes sense.. Here's to hoping he can do well on the road whilst abroad..
  18. Tyler Lange u23 Marc Pritzen - Dev Alan Hatherley - MTB 🤔 The last 1 confuses me as Alan has been a part of their factory racing team. Then again Michael Valgren was part of the WT team as is on the list below in the Nippo Dev team, Unless he's going to be a mentor to the rest. So I won't lie, I'm pretty confused with the setup at EF now.
  19. Sorry to hear bud. Not to sound like a tjop but it's definitely a place to be weary of. There were a good number of bike jackings in the same place about 2years back until they stationed a patrol vehicle directly opposite where it was happening. Haven't seen the vehicle there of late so seems they're back at it. 1 lady who was mugged there had a tracker and it was tracked to the Westlake Informal settlement which is an easy escape from the point of incident this morning.
  20. I also see the Arkea guys riding the new Bianchi "Superbike", So it looks like Canyon are no longer with them and UAE now with Shimano DA 12speed and ENVE wheels and no longer Campi SR and BORA wheels.
  21. @J Wakefield from UAE to BORA
  22. Not sure if you've heard or it's been posted elsewhere, But you're off to BORA... Congrats and all the best with the new Team.
  23. Will switch the GoPro on or have my phone ready next time we head through that side again.
  24. In the same way the government kept an eye on the relief funds, a whole Stevie Wonders eye ?? 🤣🤣
  25. But on a serious note, This is why I started the initial thread as this is what happened to me. I hope it ever comes but I'm dreading the day comes where a cyclist loses control of their bike because of him and the consequences are of the worst kind. The NHW really should be keeping an eye on him.
