  1. WHAT, has Lance Armstrong been found guilty of using drugs?
  2. Chris also did the 2011 94.7 double loop with the Paige Project charity. Here he is in action... http://thepaigeproject.co.za/wp-content/uploads/IMG_101.jpg
  3. Yeah R3,000 is seriously taking the p!ss
  4. Last year Chris did the double loop with some charity riders. If I remember correctly, his chilled first loop was around 2:35 while riding with the group. Robbie Hunter and Daryl Impey also did it. I actually sucked Robbie's wheel along the Krugersdorp highway for a bit
  5. These are nice hey! The Rolf Prima wheels also look value for money.
  6. I would have thought he was still good for a few more tours, but upon watching his post race interview it seems he won't be back Watch this and see what you think? http://www.bicycling.com/video/jens-voigts-final-tour-de-france#/video/all
  7. I think option 1 with awarding points for the top 20 (or even top 30) is a very good way to do it. The only problem I'd have with a scoring system for all 198 placings is that you would get someone like Geraint Thomas for example who would lead the peloton for 50% of the race sacrificing himself for the team before blowing with 20km to go and finishing in the Grupetto in the bottom 20 riders.
  8. Thanks Gerald for all the efforts from your side
  9. I didn't really expect much from Schleck, and from where he was at the end of last year / beginning of this year where he couldn't even finish a tour in China nor Oz, I think this was a decent effort from him. I'm sure he will come back stronger next year. Evans was a massive disappointment for sure as was Pinot and Van Garderen in the first 2 weeks (although he made a brave come back in the Alps by attacking nearly every day and but for a puncture probably would have won Alp du Huez). Unluckiest rider of the tour has to be Valverde who would almost certainly have finished second had it not been for a puncture at the worst possible time on the crosswinds stage. It also cost Movistar the team classification.
  10. Happy with the outcome yesterday. For all intents and purposes, Froome is South African and glad that Kittel brought Cav down to earth throughout the tour. In Froome, Quintana and Kittel, cycling has found three superstars to lead the sport forward in the post druggie era and it's a breath of fresh air that all three appear to be down to earth modest guys who just love riding their bikes.
  11. Good work to the idiots at supersport for placing 2 minutes of adverts at the exact point that Froome was about to lead the peloton onto the Champs Élyées.
  12. I think French Champaign is over priced...
  13. How I wish Froome would take part and give Nibali a good spanking.
  14. I owe 'Drac' an apology after I clearly underestimated his man Quintana earlier in the Tour. Definitely a star in the making and a potential grand tour winner (so long as flat time trails are kept to a minimum). I do feel sorry for Valverde who has been really impressive this tour and but for a puncture at the wrong time he too would have been in the podium for Movistar.
  15. Pedal stroke assessment is something I'd actually like to do.
  16. Wishing you a speedy recovery and hope you have many more happy hours on the Hub
  17. I don't think it is Ergo fit (as far as I understand what Ergofit is). They seem to base fitment on body proportions / flexibility and adjust according to the bodies movements at key points such as shoes/knees with camera views.
  18. It's mid range but not too bad for the price. However the Silverbacks Acera shifters and front derailers I would not recommend. I'm sure the 2012 Spectra had SLX on the rear and Deore on the front, I wonder whats with the downgraded spec?
  19. So instead of starting a new comment, I thought I'd also weigh in here regarding Cycle Fit. In the past I've had various fitments performed by LBS as well as Concept Cyclery's BG fit. Yesterday I went to Cycle Fit for the first time and was extremely impressed by not only the fitment and subsequent feel of the bike but also the knowledge and expertise of Richard (who did my fitment) as well as the friendliness of all of the staff including owner Arran Brown. I'd rate this as a far superior fitment to the BG fit and recommend it to anyone.
  20. Out of these two I recon I'd go with the Silverback. Here is some info on it, looks good value for money... http://www.bicycling.co.za/bike-buyers-guide/spectra-2/
  21. Superb shop indeed!
  22. I sure hope so, I went for him in the ASG picks competition. Very strong breakaway group though. Gilbert & Voekler are also good bets for the win.
  23. Scared of descents? So that makes both him and Bradley Wiggans then...
