  1. Ridgeway is a sportsbar in Stoneridge centre, Greenstone... It's proximity to the new bike shop is perfect as now while my bike is being washed/serviced post ride I can now sneak off for a quick beer
  2. And can he climb Alpe d'Huez... Twice in one day, after nearly 3 weeks of riding a tour
  3. I've actually resurrected a 18 year old mountain bike I had to be used on an indoor trainer. Pulled it out the garage and it cost around R1,000 to get running again including new shifters.
  4. For sure! And it will be interesting seeing whether the stage 2 climb can do any damage to the peloton... I've got a feeling, that Cannondale will pull Sagan over that and he will win stage 2.
  5. Wow, slightly tougher than the Argus The birthplace of Napolean... That short little French s#*t would be so proud.
  6. I hope Spartacus cleans up in both the TT and Road race at the world champs. It seems Nibali might be afraid to go head to head with the South African Kenyan Pom in a Grand Tour.
  7. Makes sense I guess although I recon he would be good for a podium at this years Tour.
  8. Have Astana announced their team as yet? Any chance Nibali will be in it or is he sitting this one out?
  9. Nice one! Very "race-like" name
  10. VERY Nice! I can see these selling hot cakes. I will definitely go check them out at the Ridgeway Cycling Concepts shop when they open. If you hook me up I'll even showcase one in the VA peloton next year. Nudge nudge hint hint
  11. Very keen to see more of your Fuji carbon road bikes, they look great
  12. I am indeed I'm just surprised they have internet that far West
  13. GT, Trek, Fuji & Bianchi that I know about at this stage. If I have any influence over the powers that be there, I'll be trying to get them to stock Cannondale as well
  14. The other issue is that can you imagine the amount of additional accidents in a peloton when half the bikes have disc brakes and the other half standard brakes. There is a massive difference in breaking speeds between the two.
  15. Bradley Wiggins
  16. Whether they are breaking or braking, they still don't make a road bike look more race like... unlike you a mountainbiker that is
  17. Maybe their EU work permits were revoked and they've been sent back to the Colombian hillside?
  18. So gerald, since most the teams have announced their line ups, I guess we should start sending you our picks, yes?
  19. I ordered recently and it took 2 working days, very impressive!
  20. No doubt that as soon as discs and *braking system becomes light enough they will become the norm in road cycling, HOWEVER, they look ridiculous on a road bike if you ask me. *Fixed
  21. I recon Froomie will sign and Uran and Wiggins will be departing soon.
  22. Perhaps Froomie feels he doesn't require any help in the mountains?
  23. Agree 100%
  24. Although the Momsen 329 has a SRAM X7 & X5 gearing combo whereas the Silverback Spectra 2.0 has Shimano XT and SLX. So surely the Silverback is better spec'd from the component perspective at least?
