  1. Not yet. Still not ridden as the captain is off tugging himself at Wine2Whales rather than doing proper riding. And kids too busy with exams to let me pilot. Talk about Billy no Mates.
  2. Browser must be playing up. Not on firefox when I posted but in chrome. Now in firefox. I must be an temporary American.
  3. I see today that there is no longer a manual upload facility on the Garmin Connect page where you can simply drag your workout from your Garmin device to the website. One has to use Garmin Express to upload. Real ball ache as it now means to run a separate Vitality rewards only account means that the device has to be registered to that account. Changing the account details in Garmin Express is cumbersome and does not load the workout onto GC. Work around is to load it manually onto Strave and let Tapiriik do the sync back to GC for your real Garmin account. After all a ride didn't happen if it's not on Strava. But as the weekly points are set at 900, it may be time just to drop the Vitality only partial load GC account and just give them everything. After all my time is worth more than this hassle for 2 smoothies.
  4. Doubt there's a bigger, or prettier, Cannondale out there. Slight distortion of lines due to panoramic setting. 2 upgrades coming: 55mm deep section 36 hole hoops XShifter electronic shifting
  5. Had to use panorama setting to fit it in. Waiting for captain's pedals. Doubt they'll be colour coded like the stoker's. But he want Shimano. And 55mm deep section carbon hoops on their way.
  6. How to identify the guys without teenage children who have a liking for smoothies.
  7. What is going to be interesting is the rewards they offer on their own products. I guess it will answer the question of who pays for the cash back which is a source of some discussion when a few mates are really really bored. 25% cash back from select stores, 35% discount on airline tickets, 50% discount on hotels. Paid by Vitality? Doubt it. I predict not so generous with their own money when it's all in house.
  8. Just bought the Pro version of these, a set in 25 and another in 23. Very happy with the same in 23 for the past months. Tubeless definitely the way to go.
  9. Province traffic. Not City traffic. Edit: City traffic apparently shut down all city events years ago if those who have overseen the decimation of southern suburbs events are to be believed. Personally I think they just don't give a damn and put the traffic decision in the "far too hard basket that will mean I have to do some work negotiating with traffic" basket.
  10. What a nightmare for an already very shallow pool of road events. Province wants to attract cyclo tourists then allows this sort of thing to happen to one of the few events planned.
  11. I don't wear gloves but still very comfortable at end of the DC. Can't say the same for my bum though at the same time on saddle. I find the flat section more natural to grip than a round bar.
  12. Two new toys. Integrated Garmin and camera mount from racewaredirect.co Cyclic Fly12 HD camera and light from cycliq.com Now I film what's in front and behind me on every ride with integrated red and white safety lights. Rear is more important as over 80% of motor/cycle accidents are the cyclist being hit from behind. Oh yeah, the bar tape is new too. To match the helmet.
  13. For those having problems with GC and Vitality linking, is the problem on the PC using a browser on Vitality site or is it in the app? Or both browser and app?
  14. That means you have already removed the permission on garmin for vitality to take your data.
  15. There is a bug on the linking delinking process that the call centre is as clueless about as the developers who wrote the process. The reasons I've read here are all BS, it is a bug that they cannot find. What is pretty obvious is that you can only link 1 GC account to 1 Vitality account but you can link as many GC accounts to 1 device as you wish. Once the work out is in GC it should flow automatically to Vitality IF IT IS A GARMIN DEVICE on GC. It is possible to load GC activities that were not recorded on a GARMIN device but no points will be allocated for these. My Tacx uploads to strava which then syncs to GC via tapiriik. No matter how much I hope, no GARMIN device is reflected and Vitality DO NOT award points. Once you are linked from GC to Vitality but your workouts are not reflecting in Vitality NO AMOUNT of delinking and linking will fix the problem. Only a support call to the developers will fix it MANUALLY. The moral of the story: stop delinking and linking hoping it will sort you out. It won't.
  16. Don't ignore the massive admin fee Discovery pulls out of Health that needs to increase year on year to keep shareholders happy.
  17. Showmax is just DSTV bought stuff re-bundled. I avoid anything to do with those, er what did Zuma say in parliament on Tuesday? I've gone netflix, canned it when they blocked DNS, Hulu with Showtime but reality is that there are many many streaming sites for free that have all the series you would want to watch.
  18. I had this exact issue of not linked and linked in the 2 different environments in February with my daughter. I gave up.
  19. Not at all. If you are achieving your weekly rewards target currently on standard then it will done before September with no races and only 3 x 30 mins at 80% a week.
  20. After being off the bike for 6 and a bit months after a really stupid crash I got out today. I reckon I hit the most perfect day imaginable for a comeback ride from Llandudno to Noordhoek and back.
  21. The fact that only 2 flights per year means you can travel at peak time when the flight is usually the most expensive and apply it to that ticket. Not ideal but better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick. Use the benefit when it is worth the most.
  22. On my BlackBerry 10 OS I just run the file from file manager but BB is not pure Android, I've had to get creative but the file APK is an android app. I loaded the July version of the file here for you: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B90WN1JsDuzURDFZT09wNm9nMjA/view?usp=sharing
  23. No change to points table. What they now do is work from the bottom up and as soon as you qualify for maximum points the calculation stops and you get the points from the first qualifying event. I would assume your 1st run was less than 60 minutes but over 30 mins. Hence 300 points for 80%. Your second run was over 60 minutes AND over 70% so you get 300 points for 70% although you were over 80%. There is no category for over 60 minutes at 80%.
  24. All online shops charge in their home currency. They get the value of the sale and you carry the exchange risk. Plus 3% commission for the bank for using their card. If a site like CRC offers free delivery it actually means it is coming out of the VAT they don't charge on the export. VAT in UK is 20%, I have never seen them reduce the price by 20% when location is changed from local to export. Normal reduction is around 10% so they are pocketing the additional 10% as margin, less the cost of postage. Evans tends to reduce the price by 20% and then charge delivery.
  25. I've got version from 8/7/16. Can upload it onto google drive or dropbox for you.
