  1. Nice thing about the fire tv is the micro SD card slot. I put a 32gb card in there. But I don't know how it benefits me as I haven't yet worked out how to download rather than stream.
  2. I paid $70 on black friday, my daughter was in the US so she brought it back. Don't tell Lexx. I loaded kodi from the micro SD card using ES File Explorer which I so called side loaded, it really isn't an issue. I think it was a case of going to settings and allowing developer mode. I sideloaded BBC iPlayer, ITV and a few others but once kodi loaded I just use it to load within kodi. I still like having the BBC and ITV stuff even though available in kodi as it is easier to just click on 1 icon and watch than navigating through kodi. The native stuff on Fire TV works really well, much better than on kodi, so now I have to decide to pay for Hulu and Netflix and get convenience for my $ or watch for free on kodi and wait a short while for it to load. I went for the Fire TV rather than another android box purely for the reliability of the amazon brand name. I'm sure there are better units available for the same money.
  3. What underwear? Surely commando is the way?
  4. I bought the Amazon Fire TV. It is mind blowingly good. The Fire Stick is half the price and has the same functionality without the micro SD card reader, the HDMI out or the RJ45 ethernet input. It just plugs into a USB port on the TV. The remote is the same for both but the Fire TV accommodates a mouse and keyboard. Fire TV $89.99 Stick $39.99 amazon fire tv and stick
  5. Seriously this guy is worried about the pose of socks? Here you go, make a booking at Sorbet
  6. But isn't that the point? Function over form. As long as my feet can breath. As I very often can't.
  7. Best part with all you poseurs is that you worry about socks and then wear either pro team or advertising shirts. What fashion is that?
  8. I've fancy got colours too. But when a company advertisers a lovely pink sock and then only has size 7 I'm glad socks mean nothing to me.
  9. The deep sections mounted, might add drops to the rear next. 55mm, 36 hole laced to DT Swiss with Sapim CX-Rays.
  10. Try TeamBlue. And then BBC or Eurosport. Both are broadcasting it.
  11. Yes. It is a disco reward, not an uber promotion. 25% cash back but subject to a maximum of R200 a month. The cash back comes from Uber BV.
  12. Took the Cannondale beast out on Saturday. Even with 2 guys and 2 bikes worth weightwise there were some very tricky bits on Chappies with the 55mm deep sections. But the rest of the ride more than made up for that little smell the petrol moment.
  13. Not only stems. Apparently.
  14. You're not old enough to know that about Cracknfail.
  15. Took the safety warnings on an over pressurised coke bottle to heart so bought one of these: If anyone wants one drop me a PM. R850 plus courier.
  16. Because it is really off to show your butt crack to those riding behind you...builders bum should stay on the construction sites.
  17. Still rolling those noisy carbon rims? Or were those on the bikes that were stolen?
  18. Is this not the most perfect route imaginable for a ride from one's front gate? Particularly when yr.no correctly predicts an abatement in the breeze for a few hours. I didn't stop to photograph the water along Victoria Rd between 12 Apostle's and Camps Bay but please believe me when I say it was crystal clear. Near perfect ride. Blessed to have days like this on this route.
  19. No. It is screening and should be an expense they cover. Not you through your MSA. I have coastal core with no savings. They pay in full.
  20. I'd love to work out how they calculate that healthy food points. Actually, no I wouldn't. I got 1,000 points once although my healthy food ratio was only about 35%. Some months later I expected 1,000 again as my health/junk ratio was 68%. But I got 840 points. All irrelevant but I do like the monthly cash back. That means something, points don't.
  21. It used to be worse around the turn of this century. If you joined the party late you kept your seeding for an entire season, there was no reseeding mid term. So getting from ZH funride or PB Argus seeding to be allowed to race with the big boys took quite a few years. And each funride felt like an individual time trial until about H where the workload was shared more evenly. Except in a an ITT there are not 50 cyclists sucking wheels. I think the discrimination comment was more that you have to serve your time, talent alone (not that I have any) does not merit a change of group as it does in most other sports. Fabulous sport once you get the earlier start.
  22. You are right. Cycling is the most discriminatory sport in existence. Experienced, well trained and fit cyclists start when the weather is the generally the best with less wind and cooler. And they finish well before it gets hot and unpleasant when the newer, less well trained and less fit have to ride. It is almost as if there is a deliberately nasty initiation that every one has to pass to get to start earlier in order to keep the riff-raff out. Only consolation for those starting late and enduring the heat and wind is that those starting up front didn't get there through a lucky packet draw, everyone started at the back at some stage. Except if you are happy to wear the PPA Stay Wider lumo yellow shirt and apply to start in the Safe Cycling group and improve from there. Only way I know of not having to pay your dues in the hot windy early/late afternoon.
  23. Not necessarily. https://youtu.be/bYztKZe5i54?t=1m48s
