  1. what is the total ascent ? and the terrain. ie. lourensford or karoo to coast type riding (western cape)
  2. what happend/side effects ? did the doom hurt their feelings ?
  3. the only problem i have with numb hands and bits is that i never know if its back in its place properly after a wizz...hehe just a tip: we usually use a preferred hand when taking the bottie and drinking...try and swop it around so that both hands/wrists take a break
  4. peacefull cycle mayme ?
  5. i think it is quite common. but have a look at your setup that you dont have too much weight on your wrists and hands. sit up every now and a again and shake it out (hands)
  6. MF! - that is nice
  7. i wonder how much damage it will do if you spray the back of your shirt with doom or some odorless killer
  8. you know when is the best time of year to go there ?
  9. im also a huge sony fan...they have excellent products. i'm just not keen on sweating all over a sony player
  10. i think it is when you do a 'firmware' update it asks your regional settings. will have a look and see if you can set it on the device also. mine was fine when i got it and then did the update (no reason really), then the max volume went down so i did a bit of investigation.
  11. have a look at the SANSA Clip, very good value for money and good product in my opinion. Just a headsup - The EU has put a limit on volume levels the manufacturers are aloud on the digital devices. I suggest you choose North America regional settings(not GB), else the mp3 player max volume is very low. This is a problem when using in the gym or on the bike for example.
  12. if your focus is racing short distance the you will benefit more from some lighter wheels...notubes rimms with some american classic hubs (bit more than 5k) if you plan on ding XT rimms then the fork will be the better option i think
  13. get one of those with the one wheel in front, then you can park it in front of the sink and ironing board
  14. hehe, good one
  15. MDW i feel for you, sucks big time, but that is amateur racing for you. The first 10km one try and stay out of trouble (yet we can argue that 3rd in line should be pretty safe) you just never know how experienced the guys around you are. I recall last year the PPA guys with good seedings also started in the licensed groups. A couple of guys that only do mtb'ing and entered for the Road race were seeded in VA and VB - these guys had questionable group riding skills. EDIT : the argus
  16. you are wrong i was at the beach... my chip was on arron brown's leg
  17. dont worry about it - we all know you just wanted to brag with that time of yours
  18. I agree with you. Tough to clock a bad time even if you had a mechanical or bad luck on route. This is one lesson I hope the youngsters learn quick. You learn to face the bad results, then you bacome a mature an consistant racer
  19. i feel its a bit silly that the last seeding race is 5 December (Die Burger). You may have a couple of guys that was injured most of 2010(or not in form) and just starting to get the form back. Still long time till 13 March. Maybe its those guys that want a better seeding and start getting creative with passing chips to friends. Anyhow - anyone looking for a good seeding for argus and want to post your chip to me - ill be doing the burger and my rates are good. ps. YY or anything below I can gaurentee
