  3. was worth a read. Thanks
  4. In SA I think Matthys is KE best bet for epic. IMO Max and Ben-Melt (similar to George) go in to light weight and loose performance. Very scientific - I know If KE WANT to win the Epic he should ask bra Julius or Usher too help him on their SS Thats my bit of keyboard garbage for the day
  5. its that point that you need to ponder some more cheating is when you are breaking the rules. these rules apply to all.
  6. Yes, and its true. One really has to have very few options if you decide to become a pro athlete.
  7. If at all possible don't. If you can pay it off in 12 months then it is not too bad option. Just make sure it is what you want and the satisfaction will trump the repayment. It is not an investment - but we all know that.
  8. One of two things. DG either lied to KE or KE knew. There is no doubt that they would have discussed PED's and doping.
  9. I do not even know why people consider pro cycling as a job. How do you choose a sport/business where there is no level playing field. It is just ridiculous.
  10. Agree, dont agree with this Cape Epic official statement story.
  11. http://www.cape-epic...g_David_George/ I this whole article really necessary ? Should every event organiser now issue a whole story on the matter of one rider failing a doping test. I personally find the article a bit stupid...or rather amateurish. Why not short and to the point... "The South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS) today announced that top cyclist and Absa Cape Epic contender, David George, has tested positive for the banned drug, EPO (Erythropoietin) and will face a charge of doping at an independent tribunal. David George was part of Team 360Life team who competed at the 2010, 2011 and 2012 edition of the ABSA Cape Epic with the best result of finishing runners up in 2012. Founder blablablabla expressed his disappointment with the finding and the resulting negative implications for the sport of cycling. The Cape Epic is in consultation with its lawyers to consider possible further actions. "
  12. dont you want to do it faster ?
  13. They flex quite a lot. I would say below 70kg they should be ok. American Classics are much option. Just dont like the decals
  14. The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire... the roof, the roof, the roof is on fire...
  15. Does anyone know - Don't they inform the rider/team before making it public ? Didnt they know before Crater Cruise and Pioneer already ?
  16. Will be a mistake by Nedbank to stop sponsorship immediately. Rather say in six months time or something. This will show that Nedbank does not support cycling but individuals and link them selves to 1 persons poor judgement. I agree with the stance of zero tolerance, but be smart about it. Learn from Rabobank
  17. What is the total accent ? Did I miss it ?
  18. Thoroughly enjoyed Hakahana.
  19. guys, watch out for over training. 8 weeks is a long time for the epic
  20. Ill use all 20 mine and borrow some extra from the SS guys
  21. Seems like you've got a bone to pick with the Atta. No idea how one train on SS for this one. Will probably also line up for 2013. Definitely not on SS
  22. Please separate the issues... the first is why the times changed and the second is why the world changed http://1.1.1.2/bmi/cdn.bikehub.co.za/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/happy.png
  23. Hectic race to SS - respect.
  24. Did the route change over the last 2-3 years ? I see quite a difference in winning times.
