  1. Jawbreaker is amazing. Many people on this planet and a variety of products to choose from can only be a good thing
  2. Most awesome cycling week of my life. Event was extremely well organized. Waited at registration , so what you wait in a queue at the bank as well and the staff were very friendly. Safety marshals were awesome. The cost of the event in relation to what you got was a fantastic deal. Trained hard and this made me enjoy the event even more. Did not need to throw water over my head ???? See you next year ASG.
  3. Must say Dorma's products are really durable and fantastic. You can't go wrong with their products.
  4. What do you guys think of the number boards for the bikes? We had the same in the DC and it looked horrible. Here you have all these aero bikes with a number board at the front. These are road bikes for goodness sake! I thought the reason therefore was for the safe storage in bike park at the end of the race (at the DC) but surely they can rather use a sticker option for your seatpost like they do in the 947.
  5. Same as last year, some guys got lost. Seems the route needs to be marked better.
  6. I vote for phil and paul. Thry have a lot of knowledge anout the riders and areas the tour goes through. Kirby is also very good.
  7. Best race on the planet. Really enjoyed it last year. See you guys on the start line. Its funny how the pain goes away just after you cross the finish line...
  8. Similar shocker took place at last years Mangaung Cycle Race (old OFM). Guy in a kombi kept on driving next to a group of cyclist and swerving towards them. This carried on for a few kms and then he left.
  9. Agree, buying cycling stuff is a way putting pressure one oneself to become "faster" Buying new stuff when a new goal was reached played a major tole in my weight loss back in 2013. Also a good way to get away with it is to play the health card when the wife queries the constant spending...
  10. Timefreight should ask you not more than R300. They work on kg not measurements.
  11. the wheel will turn...these guys that speed away not just break the law but you can be left for dead without medical assistance. How can any human being not consider this risk. If this cyclist was badly injured and left for dead then the driver becomes a murderer. What has our world come to? We have it here as well - the chances of a car stopping is minimal, ride with a friend/s people for your own safety and a chance to record number plates.
  12. Should we start a new venture together?????
  13. Would be awesome if the battery life could be extended to say 3 hours so it can follow you on a training ride for safety purposes - your family can track you where you go or your trainer can log in now and again to see whether you are lazy or not..... But as rvdm1 said, trees and lamp posts etc could pose a problem. Looking forward to the future....
  14. Doesnt matter what colour kit we wear, we do look a little silly with lycra, except for the ladies
  15. Friendly professional cyclist, like him a lot and wish him the best of luck with life.
  16. Love mine, awesome tool and is so easy to use. Also love the bigger screen and functionality of the touch screen. Uploading of training is a breeze. Out front mount could be a little "stiffer" though. The unit can easily be dislodged from the mount if you accidentally bump the GPS with your hand - it tends to turn sideways and is then loose and can fall out. Has not happened though, just an precaution from my side.
  17. Wyatt deserves some biltong. Did the same thing for " my" mechanic specialist at my LBS when he built my bike in 4 hours this week.
