    Most cars run red robots where i live, the thing is, we humans watch each other and if the one runs a red robot the next one starts doing the same. It becomes the new norm, lawlessness that is prevailing in this post 1994 so called democratic hole we live in.

    We as SA are going to lose all our good riders, pity the the Govt gives a crap about cycling. Those foreign guys are fast and if you ride with them they lift your game.

    I have said it before, its difficult to function in a deteriorating society. We dont care for each other anymore. To name but two is the way we as cyclist are mauled down by road users not following the rules of the road and another is the chemicals they add to food that are on our shelves perceived as healthy but are actually killing us slowly.

    The people do as their leader does , and I even include people that were brought up with rules and regulations many years ago.

    My experience is that most buses come extremely close to cyclists. Its like these drivers go on some special driving course we dont know about where they are taught the 10 cm rule. Seems these drivers have not heatd of the 1 metre rule yet

    Now we have problems......our image destroyed completely....but apparently the cyclists were taunted by the people in the car according to a article, not sure if this is true though.

    If youre hit after or before dark I would say theres a very good chance of the driver just driving away. Look at the time of day when these incidents happen and then you would come to the same conclusion. Glad your friend is alive

    He threatened you with that statement mate. I agree with Cellar. That driver probably has kids cycling too, lets hope the wheel does mot turn on him.Most of the buses leave a 30 cm gap, i had 2 nasty experiences recently, i basically s*** myself, it was close really close. There is absolutely no reason for any vehicle to come close to a cyclist thats riding behind another. They dont realise that when they hit you you will die even at 30 km

    Geez mate what mileage do you do per year then? Or the roads you ride on are in excellent condition unlike here....

    My opinion is that the Germans build awesome brakes but not MTB tyres. I hated my non- round heavy Conti's. My previous LBS could not seal the front tyre due a hole (brand new tyre) and then put a tube in to solve the problem. Only when i punctured did i see what the buggers had done...very unethical..
