Agree, other problem is keeping the unit charged, the cell phone charging container was packed at the Sani! Used my solar charger for my phone, problem is the 12 hours it needs to load batteries. Got my iPhone to about 70%. Don't know how u gonna keep ur phone and GPS charged for 9 days.

When I started my LBS put me onto the local MTB club, they even had a web site! Mailed them, phoned them no replies. Now I see them on the trails eating my dust! Suck it up and look on the bright side no waiting for straddlers if u ride on ur ace!

Did the Sani, 2x5h rides Saturday and Sunday (80-100km). spin in the gym for 7 hours a week. only been on the bike for a year now, am loving it, got the berg and bush and wine to whales to look forward to. Wanted to do the tour of legends but couldn't find a partner.

I'm JHB side, would like to do the PMB side of the ride got a week I can spare. What kind of distance we looking at 100--120 a day? And carry own supplies? As we not racing are we looking at B&B overnight or we gonna tent it?
