  1. 25 mm planks go for about R 26000.00 a cube at the moment. Perhaps a bit cheaper if you buy a few and shop around. Those are very, very nice boards.
  2. Love the safety gear. If one of those legs fall on your toes you can hobble around the bathroom while you missus rubs aloe vera on your back for the sunburn.
  3. Go back and collect it immediately. There are shops who pay good money for that. Looks weathered but I would say it's teak probably Rhodesian. Easy to clean up. How much is there?
  4. I have a compressor so would not buy one but I can see the merit of this for cyclists with limited storage space at home or who do lots of stage racing. Looks like a neat product and not overpriced considering cycling prices.
  5. Grips can be fixed, anyone sorted that very untidy cable routing?
  6. I cannot help but note that we always win the games that count for nothing. In cycling parlance. "They don't give out gold medals after the Sunday coffee ride".
  7. Learnt something today. There is a difference between Waksol and Waxol. Waksol is the product to use on outdoor furniture.
  8. Nice!! And I thought it was Thursday today.
  9. How do we place our orders?
  10. Proudly South African!!
  11. Might be. I have used it on my "teak" patio furniture, really brought it back to life and looks good.
  12. No, perhaps you are thinking of Creosote? When using waksol you will need to give the wood a good rub with a clean cloth afterwards a few times. Do not use creosote on furniture.
  13. Waksol from builders express R148.00 for 5 lt?
  14. I see CWC sell these for R 320.00. Dynaplug kit is around 55 US$ on the Dynaplug site. I got one of these a few years back at about 100 rand. Am I missing a trick here?
  15. Wash it with a Karcher or similar pressure washer. Rub with contour sanding pad, these are like the green pads on kitchen sponges. Blow off dust with air, easy with a compressor. Paint liberally with Waksol leave in the hot sun and rub off with a clean rag. Repeat the waksol treatment. Retreat with waksol once a year.
  16. Made this one for the cottage kitchen. Sprayed with a wood floor coating waterpapered and polished. Hard as nails.
  17. He was the best of the bunch. Happy birthday you kno&
  18. When ever I submit a return to SARS I get a sympathy card from them!
  19. Too many life guards in the gene pool these days!
  20. I use Danish oil for all indoor pieces, fantastic. Have recently used Waxsol on teak outdoor furniture as well as my owl box and bee hive. Works well.
  21. Time to get some Yellows. Water is finally warm enough. Pic from late summer this year.
  22. Got mine from Linden Cycles, helped by Mike, the mechanic. Quite a while back. He has moved on but I find Joneen and her team very helpfull. Give them a shout.
  23. Speaking of which. Anyone want to make an offer. Solid Pink Beech, French limed cabinets. PM me for more photo's details. Was offered R 2000.00 by a dealer! Two display units. Cocktail cabinet and TV unit.
  24. I was all for building a roll top desk until I found an Imbuia desk from the 1950's with raised panel front and sides for R 4000.00 in perfect condition.
