  1. I buy them and refurb them regularly. Bid or buy and markets is a good source.
  2. Take the steel work to a sandblaster, paint with Hammerite smooth. No primer needed.

  4. I don't like to say it but that water quality is dodgy, Friday's test showed 15 150 parts E.coli per 100 ml water, anything above 400 is not safe! But if you're doing Duzi then you should probably get used to it before you test that water! High risk of gastrointestinal disorders E.coli > 400 counts/100ml http://reservoir.co.za/forums/vaalbarrage/barrage_forum/barrage_recreation/2020/BarrageWeekly_03Jan2020.pdf
  5. So Dlamini has put his entire year at risk all for R 90.00?
  6. I have been following the thread but have yet to read that Nick Dlamini did in fact have a permit. Is anybody able to confirm that he paid to ride in the area?

  14. Femco is well known, still going as an electric motor supplier I think. R 800 is a bit high IMO https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-power-tools/eastern-pretoria/femco-bench-grinder/1006092334790910259545409
  15. Hand plane. Obeche and Australian black wood. Made a few to give away to family and mates. Great in big surf.
  16. Anyone use a Bialetti Mukka Express Cappuccino maker? Looking for opinions from users please.
  17. South Africa is a country of rich and poor, beauty and litter, generosity and greed, enlightenment and ignorance, Mandela and Zuma, education and illiteracy … and lots in between. I was born here, but my work allows me to live pretty much anywhere in the world I want to. I’m often asked where I’d choose. I finally made this tough decision and a recent experience suggests I have chosen well. Nice article by Paddy Upton written after visiting my old school. https://www.dailymaverick.co.za/opinionista/2019-09-13-cry-the-beloved-country/?sslid=M7W0MDY2N7c0NjCyAAA&sseid=MzQzNjSzNLYwsgAA&jobid=5d8f0d92-8601-44da-b266-3fd841780db2
  18. Just watched the youtube clip of the no arms head high hit by the Aussie Reese Hodge. No call from the TV ref, ball actually goes into touch after the tackle, lines ref calls it out, game ref carries on and lines ref puts his flag down and never mentions the ball actually went out again? Lets hope it gets better because it has not been top drawer stuff from the ref's so far.
