  1. I am the same length, and 97kg gives me 15%body fat. less and it will look like you are about to fall thru your ass.
  2. A much more accurate formula is 210 minus half your age, then subtract 5% of your body weight in pounds. Add four for a male and 0 for a female. The only way to get a truly accurate max HR figure is to get a physiological test at a sport science centre, such as Fletcher Sport Science, but you can get a reasonable estimate by doing your own max HR test. Only undertake this test if you are fit and exercise regularly, though. Warm up thoroughly for at least 15 minutes. On a long, steady hill start off fairly briskly and increase your effort every minute. Do this seated for at least five minutes until you can’t go any faster. At this point get out of the saddle and sprint as hard as you can for 15 seconds. Stop and get off the bike and immediately check your HR reading. This is your max HR. “Don’t forget that your max HR figure is sport specific,” says Fletcher. “This means that your maximum on a bike will invariably be much lower than it is when you're running because the bike is taking some of your weight.” meant to put this in last night...http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/fitness/article/training-heart-rate-monitor-basics-28838

  8. 2400cal per day, that's like one meal?
  9. My two Brats are lazy but can do a 20k if there is some motivation. My girl (12) can give me a go on the hills. Only co'z she weighs like 5kg's. My boy (6) a bit on the lazy side likes to say " a little help here" when ever there is a slight incline. But I'm very proud of my kids and give them what I can.. Including discipline.

  15. Look... I agree 56deg is out there. I can go down under now I have trained. BUT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND. IT WAS SOOOO HOT. The part after the church where they added the extra 5k loop for no good reason, and we were poked. people were laying under the trees to get out of the sun. I had 4 punctures and had enough. ready to kill for a glass of cold water.

  23. Thats my hill, went past there from wiskin side for my 10k's... took me 1:10 for 9.6 k's 155m climbing.
  24. Just checked my last vitality test and my body fat is 24.3% with a 102 waist. so that means the 27.2kg is body fat. If I want 12 or maybe 15% that puts me on 97kg target weight. so I need to loose around 15kg. mmm doable.
  25. BMI Is for the birds. whats the best way to measure body fat % ?
