Hey Jarrad, can't recall, did Dryland not offer any suggestions? My only other thought would be to contact the bike shops in the George area (Coimbra/Ride Life/etc) and find out if any club members or the like are traveling through and can offer you a lift.

Great that you are you are considering the route and the ride! As said above just pack your common sense... Generally you are safe on the bike Western Cape. We did a short trip last year Dec and will do something again this year. Hit us up when you come to Swellendam, might be able to offer you some accommodation or at least a braai. Richard Baxter did my fit many moons ago, could feel the change and also helped that someone just looked at my pedaling style and gave some tips. If you spend R1.5k and it doesn't work for you or you're doing everything right, it is not a massive waste (money/value/everything is relative).

Have also experienced the same... Have only 1 pair and about 1/1.5 years old and the back area is degrading/marbling/whatever you call it. The elastics and pad is still fine.
