  1. Took a few small breaks as I understand, but yeah basically. Edit. He started yesterday at 00:01.
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEcwOBlzTlE Only 80kms to go...
  3. Waiting for Wally Hayward, saw the Fresh Trails at Wolwespruit has been postponed to May.
  4. Looking forward to it! Should be doable on a gravel bike, most of the roads are wide and open????
  5. Yes Nizollo takes it! Paris Nice Stage 2!
  6. I'm guessing then there goes the Italian Classics...
  7. Tiz Cycling usually works, not very legal though...
  8. Lekker Jasper!
  9. Seems like Mike T and Matteo T are going to catch the front 3. Would love for WvA to be in it. Edit: 13km to go.
  10. Started in mist which turned into rain which turned into sunburn up Hekpoort. Route was enjoyable, last year had more elevation in total but this year's route had all of it at the end - which made it more difficult. Was much better on traffic, last year was a bit of a mess with the finish on Krugersdorp Hill. Overall good experience, many marshalls on the crossings and had a motorbike marshall with us through the rain. Will be back next year. Edit: Also sad to see the small number of riders, assume most of it was down to the weather.
  11. If you need a partner give me a shout
  12. Must say I share your sentiment.
  13. I thought the race was very well organised, had no issues with the directions/signs (but I got dropped, so rode mostly on my own). Didn't take in the race village but used the parking and generally had a good experience. Two things that stood out for me: 1. Was also in B bunch and also thought that the Motorcycle Marshall was very good. Kudo's! 2. Very happy about the fact that there were metro officers on almost every corner. And most were very friendly. Will defs be back next year. Nothing like a proper home town race. PS. Does anyone know what happened to the rider down in Centurion/Lyttelton? The bunch passed the ambulance and rider on a stretcher.
  14. Looking for some help... This is my pet project, the fork will be chromed and have some Velocity Deep V wheels that'll go with it. The shifters have seen some life - mechanically still in very good condition. However, the caps require some repainting and from what I can tell, the clear coat on the levers are coming off. I'm going to lightly sand the dust caps and respray. Do I then just sand and polish the levers? Anyone know where I can get 5500 hoodies?
  15. I'll get in on that action, very close to Lynnwood Bridge and work in Sandton. Edit: Just need to figure out where to leave my bike at the office.
  16. I found it very decent, well marshalled. Didn't have any issues with the cars, but I can imagine some civilians being very unhappy. Those are some busy roads. Rode in BL, again felt the bunch was a bit nervous. Specially with the cones, one of them ping ponged between a few riders, with some less than happy guys and girls. The second half of Lynnwood felt neutralised as everyone ready for Hans Strydom. It felt like a climb, not just a bump, but still good. Will be back for it.
  17. https://cyclingtips.com/2019/09/16-stitches-and-a-life-of-pain-willie-smit-is-cyclings-toughest-rider/ Nice article.
  18. This does not make me sad...
  19. To reference another thread, the commentators back the decision. But agree it wasn't good communication. What race will be next for Cav? Edit: I also think he is not currently good enough.
  20. Fair point, let's hope this is not the case at the TdF.
  21. The was quite damning and deservedly so. EBH seems to be the only one left with fight in him. The rest don't seem to care.
  22. For better (giving us a laugh) or worse (giving us a bad name), can this guy be banned from the Hub? That aside, all the best to everyone running tomorrow!
