  1. Similar for me. I like to ride DH courses (the easy parts of them at least) on my 29er hardtail. Darnit, I even rode an enduro race/ride with it the other day. On the other hand, I've ridden my DH bike while wearing lycra (only once or twice, before anyone freaks out). Back in the day, I used to race DH with lycra, like we all did. I also own a singlespeed hipster bike with blue and green rims (yes, both colours) which I cruise around the neighbourhood on. My name is Martin and I ride bikes. All of them.
  2. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed when seeing the custom decals in person at the Champs. In previous years, they used to do custom spray jobs and not just stickers - Steve Peat's Leogang edition frame for example was amazing: http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb8595402/p4pb8595402.jpg
  3. If you can find one... (They don't produce them any more, it's been replaced by the Zero 650B Carbon).
  4. Same sentiments from my side. My kindness has been taken advantage of a few times in the past... Good luck Paul!
  5. Could be coincidence... Then again, the saying about fires and dagga and smoke signals doesn't exist for no reason...
  6. This is making my head hurt. Dude, learn to communicate. Unless you're 13 and typing on a phone while in class, there is no excuse for 3 word sentences which look like Jacob Zuma's head.
  7. Apparently the Veyron is the king in this area (like it is in most areas), at top speed it guzzles 78L/100km. Ouch.
  8. I have to admit, that Cruz looks a lot better proportioned with big wheels.
  9. Give this a go: http://www.leagueofbeers.com/birkenhead.htm?id=9665&name=Birkenhead-Honey-Blonde-Ale
  10. MX helmets are OKish for DH use, but they're too heavy and hot for Enduro. I've always been a fan of light helmets, which is why my FF is a carbon version. Some people don't mind though, I guess it's down to how much you're willing to slog up the hill.
  11. I was watching a documentary about armoured vehicles recently. In explaining the purpose of and reasoning behind these vehicles and the protection of VIPs, the experts all very specifically pointed out that the best armoured vehicles are those who cannot be identified as such (thus completely non-descript), enabling them to avoid risky situations in the first place. If you're really important and need to avoid being attacked, the most logical thing in the world is to keep yourself as invisible as possible. These clowns don't have the foggiest clue.
  12. Good man. Van Hunks is just up the road from my girlfriend's house, we had our first date there drinking the stuff
  13. Vir bo-op die Amarok?
  14. Shhhh, don't tell Meurant!
  15. Oh right, the berm was on stage 4, you're right. I luckily had mates shouting at me on the stage 3 hairpin so railed it.
  16. Are you talking about that "tabletop" after the big bikepark-style berm?
  17. Hmmm, I wonder what my reputation will be if I manage to get my grubby paws on this: http://comunidadciclismo.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Intense-Hard-Eddie-3.jpg
  18. At this stage, I think about 0.001% of road users are even aware of this law. I wasn't, until I just so happened to see the post here... This is not going to change anytime soon, unfortunately.
  19. In that case, it's down to setup. Revelations are many multiples more sensitive to chatter when set up correctly than any Fox fork I've ever felt or owned.
  20. Nope, it can't phone. That's the short answer, there is a long one which you'll find somewhere on the interwebs.
  21. I've sourced a few things from them, the process has always been easy and friendly. Worth supporting!
  22. Loving these little feature articles, very cool.
  23. Yeah, I remember that. Haha.
  24. Actually, I quite like that part as well...
  25. Nope, SLX is also spider based.
