I have been cycling since 1990 and my first real bike was a Hansom bike with SLX tubing- It is still hanging in my garage ! After that I bought the love of my life- A Victoria titanium frame in 1999. One of the Pro teams actually raced on them as well. This frame has consumed its third set of STI'S and the frame is still as stiff and beautiful as the day that I bought it. From what I have heard these frames were manufactured in Russia after they stopped using Titanium to manufacture aeroplanes. I have tried to find out more about the company, but no luck. Any other guys out there still riding these beauties ? In 2001 I worked in Canada for a year and bought a local Ti -frame which I put onto a turbo trainer- That frame cracked on exactly the same spot as TNT'S frame. I think Titanium does not do well with the torsional forces that it experiences with trainers

The local cycling body in PE should also be to blame for bad organization. Last year The Klerksdorp guys did a fantastic job. I am not too sure how much of the organization like traffic and the rest is done by CSA

Dudes, what kind of a message does this send to the rest of the world ? I am in Vereeniging and you must have heard about the 6YO girl who sat by het dad's dead body throughout the night. The cops think the perpetrator could have been the same guy who tried to rob the same house a couple of years ago. He was shot, jailed, Released on bail and thought to have gotten his revenge. Do I raise my one and two year old girls in a country where personal safety is not a priority to the powers that be. As long as you can host a world cup and look good to foreign investors. How do you stay postitive and try to make a difference to the situation or do you say F!@#% it and become a part of the brain drain ?

Once you have symptoms of nerve compression you need and MRI. Do not have back manipulations untill a definite diagnosis has been made !

I have got a fairly new Fizik Tundra that is creaking and driving me crazy! I have wrapped some plasic over the rails and oiled them lightly- No joy. I have removed the seat pillar from my Cervelo and cleaned and lightly oiled it- No joy I have tightened all the screws securing the saddle material - No joy Any ideas ??

Did you notice a difference in riding quality between clinchers and tubbies ?

To the tech boffins out there- are the newer Zipp 404 wheels really that much better in terms of strength, weight and wind resistance compared to older models? In short do I buy a set of 2008 at a reduced price or a 2010 set at ? Input will be appreciated !

Surgery is an option, but the shoulder surgeons don't easily recommend it. With surgery you also have a bigger chance of getting arthiritis in the joint which might later force them to excize the lateral part 0f the clavicle !

Looks like Gr 2-3 Ac joint dislocation. Have one as well ( Both shoulders B) Pretty painful in the beginning and some loss of power in shoulder if they do not become encapsulated. Take it easy and DO NOT PICK UP ANYTHING HEAVY !!

I have never owned a carbon wheelset. Have been cycling for 20 years and have only broken one aluminium rim(rock) . Broken a couple of spokes but never had one broken spoke on Mavik Ksyrium. Are these carbon wheels as bullet proof?

Atacand Plus: The Plus implies a diuretic which can definately lead to cramps. Plenty of Hypertensive medication contains combination medication- Check the package insert. The body's main electrolytes are Sodium and Chloride. If you get cramps, chances are you have an imbalance of this. Magnesium in my mind has been blown out of proportion and sold as a marketing hype to control cramps. Watch out if you are hypertensive though of taking too much salt as this may raise your BP. Do not use Potassium supplement without supervision- Can cause serious cardiac irregular hearbeat or even arrest if you use too much. People on some forms of diuretic need to take Potassium- Speak to your MD. My racing and training fluid ? - 3/4 teaspoon per bottle of water with lemon juice- Cheap

The way I heard it, Nolan was caught with an anabolic steroid which is a performance enhancing drug. Ian was caught with a gluco- corticoid which is a strong anti-inflammatory like cortisone. In my mind this is a big difference. The use of cortisone is likely the result of to injury. One will likely never hear the truth, the full truth and nothing but the truth

Great organiation and I have no complaints about the waterpoints. Safety is a concern for me and this having been my first CC I did not really know the hazardous areas and would appreciate maybe some signs warning you to keep left for example on certain areas where you have got a high speed and suddenly run into soft sand.
