  1. Pal, you're the one who crashed on tar...
  2. There are loads of prizes still to come! I am gonna try shave a few seconds off my Tokai time this week as I am currently sitting in second place. Note that that was not an invite to go try push me even further down the leaderboard.
  3. Nah, under the Get Serious on Strava paragraph it says 30 Oct - 8 Nov. This could be the first time my name ever pops up anywhere near the KOMs!
  4. The segments open on Friday and all rides between 30 October - 8 November count as entries; I reckon there's a good chance of winning some awesome stuff!
  5. Can we say they are e-moral? Ba-dum-tis. Have a cool Monday.
  6. Will this hamper help get me onto the leaderboard? Jokes, thanks guys! Super stoked!
  7. This pic isn't of me, and it isn't from a 60s black and white film, but I do know that Danie will love this jersey (he is the biggest hipster in all of the land). So please, hook him up:)

  9. I found him quite friendly when riding up Chapman's Peak. Although having said that, I might not have heard him telling to f off due to me only being able to hear my heart pounding in my ears...
  10. In the end, it is your opinion versus someone else's on tire choice. Carbon rims are the raciest of rims and should be paired with light tires in order to maximise speed. You must remember that not everyone bashes about on a rigid SS, and we al have different needs
  11. Just trying to lighten the mood
  12. Hahaha, well played
  13. What happens if you park your bike in the bike lane?
  14. Six to midnight.
  15. SANP should employ a social media manager who is able to address the current online banter that surrounds its performance or lack thereof(they may have one already, I don't know). A good starting point would be a Hub account so that they can gauge and talk to the cycling community, however, I fear that they may just be attacked every time a post is made. Can admin contact SANP head office and propose this? Just a thought.
  16. Table Mountain Bikers just cleared this all up
  17. The official handled the situation very well, he let the guy scream and shout and work himself up, he then responded with a simple "I am not going to entertain this anymore" and walked away. That's when I approached him and had a chat. People often forget that old do unto others rule...
  18. My Sunday morning ride started up Southern Cross, as I reached the stop street across from the entrance to one section of the Cecilia trails I saw no less than five TMNP officials and one cyclist who was absolutely letting rip on one of the officials. (not sure if that much manpower was necessary but it did get the message across that they were not going to be taking any rubbish from anyone) After he was done, I approached the most official looking chap and asked about riding the lower section of the forest. I told him that last week, I had been told by a guy in a TMNP outfit that the section along the fence was open to cyclists, the official said that I was not the first person to inform him of the mixed messaging. So my question is, how can one official inform you that it is allowed, and then another says it's not? How can everyone get on the same page? On a further note, what is the point of k*kking out a guy who is actually doing his job? Picking a fight with an official over a trail is just going to ruin your day and his. Yes, we may not agree with what he is doing, but it is his job. I didn't fight the metro cops for the speeding fine I got...Just accept that you can't ride the trail and carry on enjoying the day, which I know you were doing already because you were riding your bike. P.S I can't wait for Tokai to reopen. Man I miss that place!
